No. You play him from here on out. Either you’re pleasantly surprised or you’re season continues to tank and you still get a high draft pick which you possibly use on a QB.
0% chance Jerry drafts a QB when he can get a RB or WR with a top 5 pick.

There was an argument on that he was throwing interception because he was playing with the JV squad. Same results with the starters. Is there any trade value here?
No. Not even if you paid his entire salary in the trade.

I sincerely believe you couldn't get a second-round pick for all 3 of our quarterbacks and a total payout of over 15 million for the bunch.
This team has had and continues to have a massive need in the QB position.
Yeah they all suck but who really cares about the money?

He's not ready. The preseason demonstrated that. However, it also demonstrated his potential...given more time.

How many "developmental" QBs have been destroyed because they were forced out there too early?

If possible, I would have liked to have seen him next preseason at the soonest. I think he will be far more ready at that point.

Yes he's done. Just a waste of time by Jerry. It's clear that McCarthy had no interest in acquiring Lance and spending any extra time developing him over the past 2 years. Neither Rush or Lance will be here in 2025 (and neither will McCarthy and Schottenheimer for that matter). A complete waste of time for everyone

Trey Lance is really bad. Even the 3 scripted plays they had for him looked terrible. I’d let whoever the QB they sign for depth play at this point. Where is Ben DiNucci?

I look at it this way. Lance is all likelihood a bust. But I'd rather play him. Either he starts to figure it out before the end of the season or we end up with a top 5 pick in the draft. Either way the Cowboys get an answer on the Lance question. Starting Rush does nothing for you at this point in a lost season

Give the guy 1st team reps and his own game plan then see what happens.

I think except the Kicker and Micah everything else is DONE!!!
Turpin is a great returner. Also aim liking the CBs and Lawson. Bland is still out, him and Diggs are solid. Overshawn is good. Kneeland might have something but he’s hurt. I think I’d keep building the defense and get a RB…the Oline will get better they are young. Like it or not they’re stuck with Dak for 3 more years, but Id still draft a QB with a comp pick round 4 or 5.

If you’re a starting NFL caliber quarterback, you’re a starting quarterback not a backup. The “Rudy” type of players are an anomaly.. once and a blue moon type thing. I think it’s funny how BOTH backup qbs abilities were answered in the same game. I couldn’t even pick who was worse.. lol

All the Lance bashing is laughable, who in the hell got the most reps in practice with the 1st team. Guaranteed Lance didn't and who got in his first game today in a real game. Maybe he does or doesn't work out but I think he deserves a shot like most other players for sure, and a quarter of a football game is definitely not enough to know.
