lance looked horrendous .
I have not been a fan of Trance from minute 1.

However, he has had zero reps for 8 weeks as QB3. We still have no running game, can't block and can't get separation.

Expecting him to look anything better than horrendous is unrealistic.

Lance needs to start.

He has to learn.

He is blessed with athleticism.

But he needs to play football with his teammates.

Even Aikman and Romo struggled at first.

No one gets a pass on this.
I don't mind them starting Rush but Lance should have been in a lot earlier.Rush wasn't doing anything and they waited until the game was out of hand to put him in.

Since MM has decided to start Rush in the upcoming game, we're about to find out exactly what Rush has left. If he's anything similar to what he was last week, we'll likely be desperately looking to Lance for help. If Lance continues to fail, we'll be looking for Grier to save us. By then, the end of the season will likely be upon us and the draft will be looked upon as our possible salvation. There's hope but it's just a slippery slope.

There simply are not any promising answers to be found, either in the here and now or the near future. In the meantime, be prepared to put up with whatever happens. It's not going to be a pretty sight to behold from the looks of things. Be very patient in the meantime -- the answers aren't currently in sight. Let's be willing to look to the future for help and try as best we can to be entertained, in the meantime.

Lance is only a QB by name. He's a heck of a runner, though. With that being said, start him the rest of the season for draft purposes.
Why not place Lance in special teams to see him on returns?
It might be worthwhile to see, him during the next 8 games what the failed QB can do. Before he is dangled as a 6-round bait or waived.

I would let Dak play on crutches .............We might as well get our money's worth in laughs at this point.
Didn’t even need the crutches.. I was laughing all year long. I wish he was still playing so he could get exposed even more after this ridiculous contract.

I still think the Lance trade was probably worth making if the intention was to try to develop him into something they could trade for a higher pick. But I never thought this was anything more than a long shot. SF already tried to develop him and failed. He could not beat out Sam Darnold. When he plays he looks as bad as the garbage the Cowboys tried to use to take Aikman's place. He is worse than Quincy Carter. How long should it take to develop him enough that he can at least look like an NFL QB? How much time does Dallas have?

At this point, they will probably cut him or trade him for a 7th, a conditional 7th. But more likely he gets us nothing in a trade.

This doesn't mean I wouldn't play him the rest of the year. The Cowboys still think they can win some games and do something. They are delusional. I think the season is over so why not play Lance. It's not like Rush has something to prove. We know what he is - a mediocre backup. But I'd play all the scrubs as much as possible and give them real experience. The Cowboys need to start churning the roster and that means finding out who is worth keeping. You cannot make an upgrade unless you know what you already have.

There was an argument on that he was throwing interception because he was playing with the JV squad. Same results with the starters. Is there any trade value here?
We gave Garrett 10 years. At least we can give Lance the end of the season. There's nothing to lose at this point.

Lance trade was made to replace Dak.

When? Earliest date would be 2026.

As of now, he should be the starter soon.

One more week of Rush.

How do you develop someone that does not play in real games?
