So long, Eli!

The end of an era in all likelihood. Never been an Eli fan as far as how good he was proclaimed to be around the NFL, but it does feel a little bittersweet knowing this was probably his last game playing in the rivalry. It’s been years knowing it would be Eli’s Giants vs the Cowboys twice a season. It will feel kind of weird for a while now.
True. He was a fun guy to hate.

Only question left for Eli is whether he'll make it into the Hall of Fame.
He has 2 Super Bowl MVPs (against the Patriots, no less) and has played forever so his career totals are up there.

So the fact that it's even debateable as to whether or not he's a Hall of Famer tells you all you need to know about the actual value of this guy.

His mediocre numbers year after year after year... THAT is who Eli Manning is. That is EXACTLY who he is.

The Giants defense in those playoff runs made Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers, Tony Romo and Matt Ryan look bad.

They didn't win because of Eli "mediocre SCRUB" Manning.

In 2009, we ended Donovan McNabb's Eagles career with 2 straight BEATDOWNS in Dallas.

24-0 in Week 17. Then 34-14 in the Wild Card round.

That's a 58-14 combined score in back-to-back weeks. Felt tremendous to send that clown packing with that taste in his mouth.

WOW. I'm disappointed in myself because I've never actually thought about or acknowledged that stat. No wonder that ***-hat is so bitter and constantly hating on our Cowboys.

Just my take but no question he makes it in. In fact, when you consider 2 Super Bowl wins, durability and New York media, I think he gets in on the first ballot.

Only the Cowboys winning the Super Bowl surpasses my football joy of witnessing Eli getting picked and his absolutely priceless ensuing quiver befuddled expressions.

The GIANTS have two more Super Bowl rings.

Eli was along for two of the greatest defensive playoff runs in NFL history and the benefactor of some of the worst INT drops ever so...fixed it.

Go back and watch those games.
Eli had to be an escape artist just to throw a couple of those TDs.

So McDoo knew what he was doing

yesh, macadoodoo knew it was time to move on....but he went with the wrong guy, I mean Geno Smith, come on....Davis Webb should have been put in and said they are looking to the future.....even though his pink slip was already stickied on his desk lamp.

Eli has those rings because of the Giants defenses in those games.

Trent Dilfer won a Super Bowl, which means you are never allowed to bring up this stupid meme ever again.

The Giants scored 17 points against arguably the greatest offense EVER (2007 Patriots).

17 measly points.

Had the Giants LOST that game after holding the undefeated Pats to FOURTEEN points, Eli would've been a joke who'd have been run out of New York.

It's a team sport. The Giants won that game despite their QB.

10 years later... and he's the same guy.

In the playoffs/Superbowl in those 2 Superbowl runs Eli threw 15 TDs vs 2 Interceptions.

If we are going to be honest about it, those are incredible stats.

It's entirely possible that Eli's last NFL pass was an interception to a Dallas Cowboy! :muttley:

Perfectly said.

Rodney Harrison dropped an INT on the play before the Tyree catch that 9 out of 10 posters ON THIS BOARD would've caught.

In the NFC Championship game against the 49ers three balls were so poorly thrown two defenders knocked each other off the ball on three sure INT's.

He's led the NFL three times in INT's and in 2013 had the 3rd lowest QB rating in the league. Great QB's should at least keep you relevant, they've flat out sucked. 31-51 the last five years.

That was 15 TDs in 8 games. That is less than 2 per game. He did well to cut down his turnovers, but he wasn't lighting up defenses.
