The front office has their work cut out for them this offseason, where there are many pivotal in-house free agents, along with outside needs:
-TE-Shultz market value come exceed 12 million, Jarwin cannot stay healthy, very little depth behind them.
-LB-both Lve, Neal are unrestricted fa's, have just special teamers under contract, outside of Parsons
-WR-Gallup, Wilson, Brown are all unrestricted and cannot play on low cost, rookie deals any longer.
-DE-Gregory/Armstrong are unrestricted, DLaw costs around 30 million against the cap, little depth
-S-I believe we just have Wilson under contract, Kearse is looking for a payday
-NT-Watkins/Urban are unrestricted, Bohanna showed very little as a rookie
-LG-Connor Williams isn't expected back, McGovern flopped when he was given a chance, Collins has been far better as a Tackle then a Guard.
-C-Biaz has his ups and downs last season, team has only unproven prospects behind him.
-Anger is a fa coming off a pro bowl yr, Zuerline needs to be replaced, even our LS is unrestricted.
At least a quarter of the starting roster has to be addressed. They aren't going to pay everyone top dollar to keep them nor have the funds to do so. The front office is going to have to find success with value free agents and hit on the majority of their picks.
There are quite a few holes but the only ones I’m worried about are LG, DE (pending decision on Tank/Gregory) and WR (pending decision on Coop).
The most important thing to me is protecting the QB. Dak has shown he can play at an incredibly high level when he has time even when missing WRs. I would make LG a priority in FA and the draft. Past that, fingers crossed we can hang on to
Cooper and Tank. If we can’t, DE is the strongest position in the draft so hope you hit and we have an up and coming #1 in Lamb so we’d need to get another solid 2.
