So Many Terrible Draft Picks

Just off the top of my head, Jaylon Smith, Chaz Green, Byron Jones, Taco Charlton, Randy Gregory. These aren't end of the draft players. These are guys taken in rounds you need production from. Might be too early to make a verdict on Taco but so far, he's been as worthless as you can ask for a 1st round pick. Gregory will never play here again. Chaz might be one of the worst OL I have seen. Jaylon is a lost cause. Byron Jones was a mediocre player at a small school and him being a combine warrior impressed us. He does nothing well. He's not terrible but not even close to a 1st round talent.

I get we are hitting on more players as of late than back in the day but we still pick way too many worthless players who offer no help. In rounds where you expect good production.

IMHO, we dont know that JSmith is a bad draft pick.I dont get BJones is so bad either.Taco is in his rookie year.

Only guy I are with is Green who was a 3rd round pick. Gregory seems to have gotten it together..... Hence him passing his drug test since his suspension.

Jaylon is getting hated on when he is a rookie still coming back from an injury. He made a few plays yesterday, missed on a few. Had a huge sack fumble and almost pick a few weeks ago. Taco got his sack last week and didn't get as much playing time yesterday (Mayowa played). Byron isn't bad. Sure he has given up some plays but has made some as well. Not a single player on this team has been perfect..... Except Bailey

It's too early to be casting "terrible draft pick" label on some of those. DLaw is a perfect example. Just a few months ago folks couldn't wait until he was a former Cowboy.

Drafting is a inexact science. Every team misses on high draft picks. Even All-World Draft Guru Jimmy did as well.
