So the crowd still sucked on Sunday, but...

I'll have to disagree about the crowd -- I thought it was very good, especially early on when the game was still close -- but we'll leave that argument for a different day.

Anyway, I must have been sitting in the section next to you, because I saw that whole thing as well and took some video of it. The guy was being extremely obnoxious and was clearly trying to start a fight with anyone around him who was willing. It was good Security got him out of there.

If you're there next week, pop on over to 443 and say hi. :)

LMAO at "send him back to Philly in a body bag."

Seemed quiet to me on television...

Kansas City was pretty loud. Giants/Eagles are always loud.

The loudest game (as a television watcher) I've seen for the 'Boys this year was the opening game. Every other game has seemed extremely quiet to me...

One cannot accurately gauge the loudness of a crowd through television. Networks vary in their microphone placement and their desire to reduce crowd noise.

The "loudest game you've seen for the 'Boys this year" was broadcast on NBC, which has not returned to the stadium since September and will not return until Saturday night.

Nah, I pay tens of thousands of dollars to attend Cowboys games every week. I reserve the right to ***** about the lack of a football environment.

You pay over $20,000 dollars a year and those are your seats????

I guess PT Barnum was right.

Based on where your seats are, P.T. Barnum was right then.

This guy's clueless. I said the exact same thing after the game. It was crazy loud in there -- throughout the game. Pretty much everyone agrees; the local radio stations after the game kept going on about how loud it was.

Yes. But do you shell out tens of thousands of dollars each week to travel round the country and attend games?

The guy is just upset he can't afford tickets anymore. (He's not a season ticketholder anymore.)

How about providing some video with audio of the next game you attend? Perhaps several one or two minutes segments taken throughout the game? That should provide an accurate audio record to support your claims about low crowd noise.

There were some great moments around me today. There was an Eagles fan sitting directly behind me with his girlfriend and both were being annoying as all hell. Well, after about ten beers a piece they started getting out of control and the crowd around them started to yell at them to shut up. They took great offense to this and started throwing things and starting fights with anyone who looked at them wrong.

Security showed up and asked them to calm down, security was met with a wave of curses and at one point the Eagles fan even pushed the security person. Eventually the police showed up, by this point it had escalated to the point of being out of control and the officer asked them to leave. They continued to refuse and in a moment of genius thought it would be smart to push the officer. I'd say it took no more than 20 seconds for five more officers to show up, after about 30 seconds of fighting with the guy they finally got he and his girlfriend cuffed and they were on their way:

You sure you didn't have the 10 beers...J/K.....because what game were you at. That was the loudest game this year....very very loud, and at the right times.

DE, I've been meaning to complain about the lack of crowd noise on this board during games. I can hear a pin drop inside the chat room, and when they do cheer, the Cowboys are on offense.:D

Are you sure that those are my only seats?

I guess PT Barnum was right.

I sit in pretty much the same section and my seat costs me $1,000 for the year... actually, I think my section might even be a little bit more expensive.

The seat license is a few thousand but that's spread over 30 years.

Even factoring in that I have to fly to get to the games and get a hotel and a rental car, I don't think I've spent much more than $5,000 to go to games this year.

That said, if he wants to complain I guess that's up to him. I feel bad, though, if you're letting that even slightly ruin your game-day experience. The crowd isn't going to get much louder than they were this past weekend, so maybe just learn to live with that, be as loud as you can be personally, and have a good time.

I will work on your complaint later. Right now, I am hoping to find a solution to the " <Insert name of player or coach here> sucks/He's going to cause us to lose!!!" routine, which runs its course during each quarter of virtually every gameday thread.

It's funny cause that eagles fan showed more fight than the entire team. He was probably holding back for this week though.

can someone explain the P.T. Barnum comment

I believe it is a "sucker born every minute" or something like that; in reference to said idiot paying tens of thousands dollars a week for nose bleed seats.

So let me see if I got this straight.

ONE Philly fan starts talking crap to an entire section plus of Cowboys fans in THEIR house and NOBODY teaches that clown some manners even though was begging for a lesson?

I don't know what to say....

And people, PLEASE STOP judging how loud a stadium is by listening to your TV set. The television broadcast can simply turn down the volume to make the crowd completely silent.
How was it when our offense was out there? I realize like you said, they can adjust the crowd volume but I noticed it seemed fairly loud when they keyed on hearing Romo's presnap cadence. I kept thinking damnit people shut up!
But that could have actually been the crowd quieted down. (?)

Dallas fans aren't trashy philthy fans? :)

Well I know that.

However, there is a big difference between harassing fans of the opponent for no reason and being completely punked by a hugely outnumbered loud mouth in your own house.

You guy's are America's Fans! You gotta represent!
