I just feel like the Star Wars comment wasn't really about Star Wars but about something deeper even though you just said Star Wars. What's the underlying point you're really trying to make? Why Star Wars and not Lord of The Rings or the Hunger Games?

Just whatever man, you live your life and I'll live mine. Have fun at your party.

Is it ok if I call Bill Belichick a Jedi? :)

Not saying it's his fault, or that he's not tough, but the best ability is availability. And looks like he'll sit again. Guaranteeing he misses at least a quarter of this season. After all the games missed last year. We spent too much money on a guy who can't stay healthy and our coaches can't consistently figure out a way to get the ball. Frustrating.
Maybe if we did not rush him in, he'd stay healthy???

I'll bet if you talk to him about it he will try to do better. I keep hearing he is very passionate about everything.

Injuries aside, what has done since he got paid to warrant that kind of money? He definitely isn't the same Dez. I wouldn't even put him as a top 10 receiver right now.

I have been saying it for quite some time. He is a good receiver but not top 10.

Think what you want, but the thread is completely about his injuries and salary. I love Dez as a player, and appreciate his passion and love for the game. But am frustrated that we have to go into another big game without him. And that even when he's not injured, he does not dominate the game as some top WRs do.

Well, his passion should just will his knees into healing. And his contract should fix all that ails us too

Did you notice that, in the same post you say it's entirely about the injuries you end with a comment about his play when he's not even injured?

I'm not trying to be contentious. I just think this Dez stuff cropping up all over is really about something else.

What is it Idgit? Don't keep us in suspense any longer!!

It's been 1.25 seasons. During that span, he's played 11.5 games (less than 100% for half of them), and only 2.5 games with Tony Romo.

Isn't his passion enough for you? What else do you want out of the poor guy? He got rid of his monkey for crying out loud! How much should one guy have to endure in single season?

His broken foot last year was a fluke. His knee cap this year was a fluke. Neither had anything to do with his play style or durability. He was tackled awkwardly in both cases. Aside from those two injuries, he's played in 75 of 80 possible games.

His contract was also a fluke. Wish we had been a little more prudent with that one. Does the NFL grant mulligans?

Well as you get older and you leap up in the air and come down awkwardly bad things are going to happen

I think signing that big contract must have caused Dez to lose some bone density or something. Can anyone shed some light on this one?

Did not say it was ....... just saying he is only 27 years old ..... only 4 years older than Dak who is a rookie.

Well maybe we should extend him and pay him some more money. That should cure what ails him! He needs to be able to feed his family!!!

In response to that individual. Dez doesn't get the same benfit of the doubt brocepher.

He gets plenty benefit of the doubt from many posters. Enough that it still averages out to make the average poster irrelevant.
