Brocepher!!!!!!! Lol!!! Ok, I've never seen that one before.

Leave Romo alone, but I don't even know if you were picking on him or supporting Dez lol

Brocephur lol!! I might use that one someday :)

I'm saying that Romo's 2014 season is mentioned as a reason for him to get his job back and I have no issue with people who believe that. However that same barameter needs to be applied to Dez's 2014 season.

Not saying it's his fault, or that he's not tough, but the best ability is availability. And looks like he'll sit again. Guaranteeing he misses at least a quarter of this season. After all the games missed last year. We spent too much money on a guy who can't stay healthy and our coaches can't consistently figure out a way to get the ball. Frustrating.
I am tired of Dez, end of statement.

People say this when they only watch the highlight reels from other players.

Healthy Dez does get elite production.

This is in essence what is wrong with fans. You get bombarded with highlight reels from other teams "stars" while seeing all of the ups and downs of your own. What you don't see in those highlights is games where they do next to nothing though. Everybody else has better players when all you watch is the 30 minute highlights from ESPN. Yet somehow other teams fans and coaches have a completely different take on this teams players.

Yeah what's 34 about, not siding with anyone but just curious. 34 is old for receivers, sure there a couple here and there but it's not your money making years. 27 is good, he has about 2-3 years of max production barring any injuries, then some years of declining production. After 30 you can still contribute and mentor the next #1 receiver

Injuries have derailed him the last two years. I don't think that he'll be a top 15 receiver this year, maybe he can bounce back in 2017
I think with Dez' heart and style he can play well into his 30s.....I compare him to Anquan Boldin who can still muscle up smaller DBs....since his game isn't built on speed he won't see a big falloff

Exactly, B. If his intensity and fire stays lit, he will not age like a Ginn, Beckham, Jackson etc. Speedsters have a rough time as they age, not tough possession receivers like our number 1.

So much truth in this.

His style of play invites injuries but management decided to pay up and there's little choice now. This should be monitored through the rest of the season and if he can't take the field and be effective, get another #1WR, let Williams walk and put Bryant as the #2 and a possession WR. Get a speedy deep threat for the #1. Bryant may make as many catches as the #2 guy, if he can get separation.

It's not about him and his injuries; it is about not having a #1WR or one that will draw doubles. And it's not about the injuries that keep him out; it's as much about the little ones that keep him <100%. He's not fast and not a great route runner; he has to be at 100% to be effective for the offense.

But take a look around the league at the injury situations. It's not just him and it's gotten to the point where the play has denigrated into sloppy games with a bunch of no names playing key positions. The NFLPA and owners should rethink some of these regulations they installed with the last CBA because this isn't working. The game isn't any rougher than it was back in the day; the players are not as well conditioned and many have actually trained themselves into being injury prone.

I'd like to see Dez on the field and helping the team but not as much as he would and I do not see any connection with his new contract and ability to be on the field, it's just bad luck because the guy is a player and wants to help his team. That said, when he's ready to play, we need someone else to dress like Aragorn and move stealthily among the players. I was digging that and at one time he was gliding like Voldemort in and out of the players in SF.

I mean Dez practiced weds, Thursday, and Friday albeit limited but still practiced. There are pictures of him leaping pretty high catching in practices. I don't know why he wouldn't play if he practiced 3 days in a row.

Wonder why this thread was started about Dez and not Lee?

Because in the 7 years Dez has been in the league he has played in 87 of a possible 101 regular season games starting 73 of them.
Sean Lee in the 7 years he has been in the league has played in 65 of a possible 101 regular season games starting 51 of them.
Because Sean Lee doesn't wear hoodies like a gangster.

Did not say it was ....... just saying he is only 27 years old ..... only 4 years older than Dak who is a rookie.
27 is middle age for a wide receiver they don't have super-long careers as a rule
