So what does beating KC mean?

I hate to break it to you, but Garrett ain't salvaging anything. He'll just find a different spot to crash the plane. You want to take an inexperienced coach who has been struggling as of late and make him our head coach? Wade may be an idiot, but at the very least he's an experienced idiot.

So we blow this team up in week 5 by firing both of them? No continuity till the end of the season? Hmm... Seems strange... I guess stranger things have happened. One thing I do know, Wade is living on borrowed Cowboys time.

Or we don't fire either of them because firing your coach midseason is stupid and never works in the NFL. It's a pipedream to think otherwise.

P.S. Don't read this as an endorsement of Wade either.

I'm living on the pipedream until the bye week ends....

This team makes too many mental mistakes at the moment to be a serious contender. We get penalties that are stupid. Turn overs.

It's hard to tell with this team, whether this is the case or it simply plays to the level of its competition. That's the frustrating part because most opposing teams also get up to play the Cowboys.

It's like tofu: filling, but tastes like crap.

Gotta disagree on tofu. It's NOT filling but tastes good when properly prepared. It's got little taste on its own but soaks up taste very well. Traditional asian cooking takes advantage of this without trying to turn it into just a meat substitute.

I don't want either of those clowns running my team. hopefully next season Jerry will hire a real coach.

To my mind, naming JG the interim right now is the best way to make sure this happens. He'll either sink or swim and if he sinks, at least we won't be wasting an entire season on the JG experiment. This way JJ gets his "JG as head coach" out of his system right now, and we get a real coach at the end of the season. And if by some chance JG takes us to the playoffs and wins a game, then at least one could argue he deserves the job. If JG thinks he can do the job he might as well start right now. Same goes for JJ. If you think JG can coach, then name him now and let's see what he can do.

My point exactly...

It was an embarassing win that is all. Probably the best thing that came out fo this game was the break out receiver performance of Austin. 4 years withthe Cowboys and it took this long for them to realize what they had???? Epic Fail....if Austin was on the Eagles he would of been to 3 probowls already. Proof that Cowboy coaches suck and are holding players back...*cough* Tashard*cough*

If Dallas can learn to win the close games, we may win more games than people think. We sometimes forget this team is pretty young and they need to win in game situations like this. In the grand scheme of things it's a win and I'll take it, but the players can learn from wins like this.

Until they beat a decent team... I'm underwhelmed.

Every week, they do just enough right to give you some semblance of hope. And they'll probably win just enough games to cost us a decent prospect in next year's first round.

I don't believe a mid season coaching change has ever worked, but after today i'm of the opinion that Wade is not the answer.Atleast give Garrett a shot to see what he has to offer,if he flunks out you know it wasn't meant to be.I realize Wade is the defensive coordinator, but his defense isn't exactly the reincarnation of the 85 Bears.

I don't think this game was anything to get too excited about. However, I do think we're gonna have to get used to these type of games all year.

Up and down throughout and not knowing the outcome until the very end.

I would whole heartedly agree if we had lost today. I just don't see firing a coach with a winning record after a win. Not that I wouldn't cheer it if it were to happen; I just don't see it as a plausible possibility.

I really think the Atlanta game is going to say a lot about this team. If we lose, I think the chances of us doing anything worthwhile this season are extremely low. A win could possibly represent a turning point.

Firing a coach may not bring a playoff or superbowl victory....but could regain the lost respectability, discpline and finish on the upswing..ala Mike Singletary and the 49ers...I no many more fail...but if they stay with the status quo...it could get ugly...... and its not pretty right now...

There are few things they can build off of today, but I just want to see that they can string 3 victories together--against anybody.

That might sound like a lot to ask, but even a three game winning streak only nets you two unless the season ends. It's tough to make the playoffs if you can't do that.

Actually, the Kansas City game said alot about this team.

I think the Kansas City game means that Dallas usually plays to the level of its opponents.

We played a much, much better game against the Giants (despite all those turnovers we were in it until the end). We just aren't the type of team that will destroy a bad team, but I think we definitely will pick it up against the better teams. I think the Atlanta game will go down to the wire, just as almost all of our games have so far.
