So When Does Chip Kelly...

Lose this genius tag everyone puts on him? There is nothing at all innovative about this offense or him. He's not terrible by any means but I'm sick and tired of everyone drooling over his offense and how tough it is to stop because they go FAST!! Yet in these 2 years, they have yet to take that offense and beat a good team.

We have to constantly see this running clock before they run plays because obviously the audience does not grasp the concept that they run their offense quickly.

The Bills ran a no huddle in the 90s and were 10x more effective. This is nothing new.

It's heightened when the Eagles beat up on a bottom dweller and we have to hear how unstoppable they are. On this board as well.

He got lucky and took over an Andy Reid team that gave up yet still had some talent. The offense was a flash in the pan literally and physically and fizzled out because it WILL NEVER WORK IN THE NFL.

I never been on his band wagon.
But he does get some credit for having a winning record so far. Though I fell much of his success came from other teams messing up, more than him out coaching others.

He did not out coach JG is 1st game, that was a very tired dallas team.
But JG definatley out coach the Chipper in this last game.
Gruden out coached him tonight.

Not only were the Bills way more effective, they were a little faster between plays than philly.

I believe the Jets did just that not all that long ago. AFC Championship game if I remember correctly.

Do you realize people were saying this same stuff about Garrett after the 2007 season? Calling him a genius OC. People can expose you quick in this league. This isn't Oregon where you get to beat up on inferior teams 90 percent of the season.

They showed a stat earlier today, which meant nothing.
Saying chip had success every where he coached.
Can't remember the years. But at UNH, missed playoffs once, but that was div II school o think.
Then went to 6 bowl games in at Oregon. But it only takes 6 wins to get to a bowl game.
They did not say what his w/l record was in those games.
Then saying won NFC east last year.

Well. That's all fine and dandy, but doesn't scream winner as to what they were trying to make it out to be.

Now that does say he can win, but what has he really won.

Yah the whole Genius label on any newcomer coach is completely rediculous.. IMO there is only one Genius coach currently in football, and he coaches the Patriots (maybe Saban?).

Kelly is a very good head coach, and I think he brings alot to the table for the league. I hope the Eagles get tired of him and he goes back down to the College Ranks!

Now, having said that, if you are going to play man with no safety over the top help, expect similar result to the last 2 weeks. Odell Beckham is licking his chops about next week.

The 90's Bills no huddle was much more effective and had much better players, first and foremost Jim Kelly.
