Nah, don't get me wrong. I appreciated the levity. :D

Felix Jones, Andre Holmes and Brodney Pool not taking part in walkthrough. Going through conditioning work. Hmmm.

Jones makes sense considering he's coming off surgery. I don't know if Holmes can be considered a "veteran". If Poole is in the mix as far as not being in condition, that's disappointing. If his contract doesn't have any guaranteed money and he failed the test, it might be the perfect time to "send a message". Maybe you don't cut the guy right off the bat but put him on notice that's he's just burned through "strike one". Again if, in fact, he failed the conditioning drill.

Those are the 3 per Broaddus.

CLARIFICATION: - Broaddus tweet has a ? at he end of his statement which I missed. So it sounds like speculation still.

Andre Holmes? How does he let that happen? What else does he have to do?

Felix coming off of surgery. He'll get in shape. Not sure on Pool.

Whoever failed it might be the highly sought after fat tub of goo capable of replacing Ratliff at nosetackle.

I know Pool had concussion problems his last couple years in NY. Not sure if they are still affecting him though.

He is what he is. Undrafted project hyped up by Jerry Jones.

Not just by Jones. Even the Debbie Downer crew of the DFW media were singing his praises after the mini camps. Maybe the anti Jones agenda will fit more appropriately in another thread, hmm?

So a bunch of 300-pound offensive and defensive lineman, some of them in their 30s, can pass a conditioning test, but a receiver in his early 20s who's been around here for a while can't?

I'd cut him right now on principle alone. Pathetic.

Certainly disappointing for all 3 of these guys.. you have to expect you can at least pass a minimum conditioning test.

aws was pointed out Jones is coming off of surgery so you could maybe give him a mulligan. But Holmes?

Maybe, i wouldn't though. If he wasn't good to go, the team would have known, and i seriously doubt they would have had him participate in such a grueling test. This from a Felix Jones fan who thinks he's alot more valuable to this offense than the guys who want Murray to get all the carries.

I have heard that sometimes they use that test to see if a player is close to ready when they have doubts?

Im not sure myself.. i was just thinking if he wasn't 100 percent or at least close to it, would you want him participating in such a grueling set of drills? Seems like the chance for reinjury would be pretty high for someone being put through the tests/drills if they weren't 100 percent. I don't know with a shoulder injury though, i guess the chances of reinjuring that wouldn't be as bad?

Garrett confirmed Felix, Pool, and Holmes as the guys that failed the conditioning test.

Josh Ellis ‏@DCStarJEllis

Garrett says Holmes, Felix and Pool will be doing "remedial running" until they can pass the conditioning test and return to practice.

Carlos A. Mendez ‏@calexmendez

Garrett says Holmes, Felix, Pool did not pass conditioning test. Work on side until they ready to practice 'way we need them to practice.'

Conditioning test for linemen 40 yds in 6 secs. 'Semis' 50 in 7 seconds. Speed guys 60 in 8. Two sets of 10. Break between reps and sets.
