So who failed conditioning test?

If he was cleared by the doctors to do the conditioning test, then he should have been prepared to take it and pass it. He was not running on his shoulder...so his legs should have been okay.

You sound like a fatass who never ran sprints a day in your life. You don't use your shoulder during sprints? Lol. Felix was probably running on a bike most offseason. Running is a different animal

I have run plenty of sprints...if you don't like sarcasm then simply don't reply.

A young athlete who is cleared to perform the conditioning test by doctors should be able to pass it without the shoulder being an issue. They would not make him do anything that would cause harm to the shoulder.

Everyone wants to make or give excuses why they didn't perform...this mentality is contagious and defeatist.

No excuses. Get it done.

Honestly I don't care.

These guys will be in shape in 2 weeks or less.

Felix Jones, Andre Holmes and Brodney Pool not taking part in walkthrough. Going through conditioning work. Hmmm.

It has been confirmed that these three did not pass the test.
This is almost inexcusable for Pool and Holmes. Crazy really

However, I agree w/ Catch that you can be sure they'll be in shape in 2 weeks....assuming they are still with us :)

Glad to see Holmes showed up for camp ready to take over the 3rd receiver spot.

We have a RB and WR can't run 60 yards in 8 seconds

Felix will not make the cut and Holmes just blew a chance at a spot on the roster

Sometimes I wonder what is their thinking

I can understand a injury ......but if they are cleared to practice.....be in shape

Just dumb :bang2: :bang2: :bang2:

Not the big deal being made of it. To have only 3 players out of so many fail the test on first try is nothing. A guy could feel sick, get a cramp, feel a twinge in hammy...any number of things could stop a guy from completing all 20 60 yard sprints.

Holmes made it under time for 18 sprints and then skipped the last two and is clearly embarrassed; for all we know the young guy may have pushed too hard early instead of pacing himself; certainly no reason to cut a guy.

I care. It shows their desire. Or their lack of desire, I should say.

I'm not surprised with Felix.

Felix to me is the only one who has an excuse. He had surgery, so I have a feeling he barely failed the test. I understand failing is failing, but it shouldn't take much to get him into shape.

They will be in shape...football shape. That's what training camp is all about. The losers go elsewhere.

;)

Posters at the Zone, on the other hand, have come to camp in mid-season form. But this is what you get in the offseason. Oh wait... :laugh2:

yeah, if millions of dollars isn't enough motivation to come to camp in shape...then something is seriously wrong

I'll guarantee you the head coach cares.

As well he should. If a player shows up out of shape, it speaks volumes and sends a message - and not a good one.

Like a lawyer showing up to court in his pajamas.

that's a pretty simple conditioning test, no excuse for those guys to fail it.

I'm glad you said it before I was attacked for being too negative.

I love Felix's skills. I just wish he wanted it more than he does. Half the reason Emmitt was the player he ended up being was his intense desire to play the game. Not that Felix can be Emmitt, but he sure can be better than what he's been so far.
