coaches this season, Henning is our OC (or whatever title JJ/BP gives him) along with our OC's from last season, and Bowles is the DC?

Do you consider this status quo, an improvement, or disappointment?

As for me, I'd consider it status quo.

Status Quo.

Based soley on history the last 4 years, this team will be average at best and either tank at the end of the season and not make the playoffs or do the aforementioned, and then be one and done in the playoffs.

History the last 4 years tells us that  .

I would be disappointed if we didn't have at least 10 more BP threads today...

It really is odd how we tail off in December . . . . I'm not sure why, but it seems that around Thanksgiving our schemes get figured out on Defense and we're exposed. And for whatever reasons, we can't make the necessary adjustments.

I'd be dissapointed. The time has come for Parcells to leave.

Aside from the Dan Henning, I think Bowles can be an improvement. I'd rather not see Henning here.

My disappointment would be in less than stellar results again, especially another 2-3 fade in the last 5 games of the season.

If Parcells and his crew of misfits can transform this team into a Champion I'd be ecstatic. I am disappointed in the results, not the people.

Why? What happen this year in Carolina was beyond his control. Go back before that and Carolina had a good offense without a boat load of major weapons like we have now.

As I said though, without an offensive line, you offense will be questionable at best. So, first things first. We've got to fix the line. Rivera. You're outta here!

It really depends on your slant. If you look at things from a positive standpoint, we were a botched FG away from going into Chicago. Considering that it took OT for the Bears to win you could make the case we are not that far off. A full year of Romo and we might make a run. Status qo may be exactly what we need.

If you look at it somewhat negatively then BP has lost the team and only a change can take us to the promised land. Otherwise another 9-7 season and maybe a 1st round knockout is where we are headed.

None of us really know. If we did we certainly would be in the NFL rather than yaking about it on the internet. I choose to look at things in the middle. You can make a case for both and I won't die one way or the other. We haev to live with whatever happens.

I was just never that impressed with what they were doing, just chunking it up to Smith and Muhammed. I mean, in 05, after Smith's 105 rec, the next leading toucher had 34. In 04, after Muhammed, the next guy had 47. Maybe that's mroe a product of Delhomme, who never impressed me as anything more than a chunk it up there QB, maybe not. I know Carolina's offense has alot of the same principles and sets we used last year, so Henning wouldn't bring too much more than we have already.

I'm just afraid with Henning, Romo would continue to look more and more like Delhomme and Bledsoe, as he did down the stretch this year.

hope isn't eternal, just saying if it's a lock that we'll be average next year, why even watch?

O.K., I'll play the optimist for a minute.

IF we can have similar offensive success in 2007 (as in 2006), and we can somehow get pressure on the QB on defense, don't you think we should go around 10-6 and into the playoffs?

Also, I think our Special Teams is in better shape vs. the beginning of the 2006 season.

As many have maintained, if Bill didnt have the skins on the wall and his name, he would have been fired by now.

Personally, I really think we should be talking about the Cowboys playing in the NFCC Game.

That's what makes it all so frustrating.

At this point, I think the NFC Teams would have to completely fall apart, have a ton of injuries, experience one of the worst down seasons in NFC history (which it has in the last 5-6 years) and the Cowboys not have a lot of injuries for us to really make a run at the Championship.

Oh wait, that happened already...nevermind.

I agree. Henning offense during the Panthers run at the SB was a very good balanced offense with Muhammad and Smith along with a good running attack with Davis and Foster. This past season Carolina injuries really hurt them

Yeah, but our Offense was not the problem last year and at some point was 3rd Overall in the NFL, which is certainly good enough to win a Title.

So if Henning cant do better than that, then that makes it a wash or maybe even a downgrade.

Really don't understand this line of thinking. History told us Elway couldn't win the big one, Cowher couldn't win it all, Landry and the Cowboys couldn't win it all, etc.

Since when are past performances indicative of future results? Maybe I'm just an optimist, but I've seen definite improvement the last two years of our rebuilding, after we got over our deluded playoff team high of 03. I'm anxious to see what happens in 07. I'm not going to look at the past 4 years and say that because something hasn't happened, that it can't happen.
