So with Shawne Merriman opposite Ware

that's my whole point. Merriman is coming off missing an entire season due to injury. Tom Brady isn't exactly wreeking havoc either. Ware is also playing at not 100% due to injury. this Steroid stuff is funny too cause for all we know Ware could've been on the juice last season when he had 20 sacks. it's the NFL after all.

maybe, but its highly doubtful...he didnt look bulked up or ripped out, and he admitted he actually LOST weight as the yr wore on last yr, said he ended up in the 240's I believe.

you don't have to look bulked up or ripped to be on ped's. look at baseball players.

I'd pass on Merriman without even giving it a second thought. Continue to develop the young talent that's already on the team (Spencer, Butler, Williams, etc) and see how they pan out.

dude is also coming off a major knee injury. D-Ware hasn't been much better till he faced the chiefs

Wares been getting pressure. But theres been little pressure from anyone else. Thus enabling QB's to slide to safety

Not the type of person I want on this team.

Lets roll with Anthony Spence.

Funny how quickly things change.

If this thread was made 3 years ago, this would be 10 pages filled with "OMGZ SUPER BOWL!!!@#!!!"

Honestly, I don't think Merriman is the player he once was.

And this year he's done nothing.

He's already at a career crossroads.

He's worn out his welcome in San Diego, is coming off major injury, and has been a non-factor so far while looking for a new contract.

A bad combination.

So in other words we'll give up a first rounder for him.

Doesnt do anything for me, because Merriman does nothing on the field now-a-days

Spencer has been a much better player than he has this yr. Not even close either.

Yep - apparently a lot of people aren't paying attention to his post steroid effectiveness.

I'll pass. No brainer.

How would you feel about him opposite Orakpo or beside Trent Cole? :p: That will suck.

I'd like it a lot, when he wound up suspended...

Don't think with your brain around here.

That must be how I keep messing up in here... I'll have to work on that...

I think Butler is going to be a player.

You knows it wierd, guy gets two sacks in 5 plays vs Carolina, and from what I could tell hardly played at all (if any) vs Denver and KC.

Those two sacks werent fluke plays either, he beat a very good young RT twice, easily.

I would pick up merriman, simply to add help. Our outside linebackers look so fatigued at the end of the game.

A rotation would help, and we obviously miss ellis.

Not only that, he was concussed week 1 and is still getting double/triple teamed. Nobody's double and triple teaming Merriman and he's invisible.
