I still cannot believe how good Jefferson is. Everything I scouted and I read from other scouts was he was mostly a slot guy with little to no upside.

I’ve scouted on the D1 and D2 levels but nothing in the NFL. But man oh man, his reports were wrong and he has blew everything out of the water.
didnt he go round 2 yes the teams past on him..its why draft boards aren't perfect players even like TJ watt slip for whatever reason.

Lets be hapy he didnt get chosen by an NFCE team which BTW needed WRs back than..

I don't think posters hated trading for Cooper in as much as they hated trading a first-round pick for him.
Many, like myself, thought he could have been had for less because the Steelers wanted him but weren't going to give up a one for him. Plus, Oakland rather had not traded him to an AFC team.
Jerry panicked and offered a first-round pick, and that was all she wrote.
I think we could have gotten him for a second didn't desperately play our hand. But Jerry doesn't have a poker face, which is why the bidding wasn't as high for Cooper because everyone and Steve Wonder could see we wanted to jettison him.
This is what happens when your owner talks too much. You lose your ability to play poker with other teams.:(

They weren't getting him for anything less than a first, no matter what the Steelers offer was. He was too young and too good.

I'm not ready to give up on Lamb yet, but he is starting to get into the category of what many label Dak which is a good player but needs everything around him to be perfect.

We saw Lamb get open a few times, have balls slightly high or behind him and couldn't haul in the pass. CeeDee with another viable receiving threat to take the pressure off is easily a 1000+ yard receiver. Now he has a backup QB, Gallup still a few weeks away most likely, and a lot of pressure to be the guy. If this team has much of a chance at surviving the next few weeks Lamb has to step up and be a playmaker through some adversity. He is one of the guys i'll be watching like a hawk this week. If he can come through Ill look at him like a #1. If not I'll be on the Lamb is expendable train and be an advocate of letting him walk after his contract is up unless he comes cheap.

I am wondering just how many here watched him play at OU and did you see a WR that played like they had to in the SEC or Big 10? He played against Big 12 DB's, not high on the tackling chain and his YAC was what put him on the map.

He was used to being more than just college open and had more time to make the catch and make his moves. He is a good WR, not a great one. He will get to watch a great one Sunday and the other two are also better than he is.

The idiotic owner and son are calling him out and stirring this pot when they put this #1 weight around his neck showing just what a couple of dbags they are. Shifting the blame to a player shows how low class they are. This is a new and lower level for them.

No way they should be singling him out after one game. I don't give a damn how disappointed and wrong they realize they were.

Now, think the pressure is greater or less on Lamb to press? Rush needs his WR to help him and his head has got to be a little messed up right now. That's not fair.

The best thing is even when the hard-core fans quit he will always have his bandwagon country club fans to keep the money rolling in.

He's just trying to lower the cost of making him the leagues highest paid WR.

Of course CD will still get his bag. Jerry talked all that noise after the 9ers game, and the end result was getting rid of Coop and LC.

We retained all the same moron coaches and napped through FA. Jerry just spouts off and then pretends everything is great.

We really don't know that. Furthermore, Gruden wanted Amari GONE!
Jerry just doesn't have a poker face. So when the asking price was a first, Jerry caved because he knew he needed to get Dak a top-flight receiver.
Never bargain in desperation.

Lol.. that's speculation, you don't know If it was a cave in situation, you had more than 1 bidder that always drives the price up.
