I trust Gilmore more then I trust Tyron and I don’t see anyone clamoring for a guard/tackle in the draft with our first two picks. I don’t see Lewis going anywhere as he is a solid slot cornerback.
5 million for a backup is expensive, they can use that money to sign a legitimate NT. Still think they are going to rework Tyron's deal to create more cap space, perhaps for a receiver. All offensive positions will be in play come draft time.

82 targets
52 receptions

585 yards allowed
2TD's allowed
2 INTS
8 PBU
82.6 passer rating allowed
957 outside snaps
12 slot snaps

Looks like Gilmore is still playing at a + starter level. I dont think this move removes CB as a 1st possibility, but it takes alot of pressure off of any CB if he is the pick
I think it absolutely removes CB as a first possibility this year.

I hope they get a receiver through trade but I want to keep our first 4 picks. Gonna be tough to do. I just don’t trust OBJ.

This year showed the necessity of depth at cornerback. You trust in Joseph or Wright to fill in if Diggs, Gilmore or Bland misses time? Maybe if we can get Brown to sign for a couple million we could cut Lewis and save a few million, but we've got to at least be able to go four deep.

That was better than any season byron jones had here and you guys thought he was great. A+ move from this dumb front office. I guess a blind squirrel finds a nut eventually

2nd round WR, CB, LB

We found out after Brown went down, Bland can play on the outside an Muku can play in the slot. Adding another via the draft, can replace him on the roster.

Who knows what will happen the rest of fa, will they even have enough to acquire one. They did talk to all the high receivers in the draft and could certainly take that route.

His PFF grade was 9th in the league and higher than Diggs.

I don’t get the impression that they will take a receiver early. They want someone with experience in between CeeDee and Gallup. The young guy is Tolbert and he cost us a game because he couldn’t line up correctly. This draft the receivers appear to be weak. I still think it will be Washington because of his blocking.

heck no that cant be the only move at wr, if so this place will break... going into 2023 with the same pan lamb, gallup, wash, and Tolbert LOL no way that thread doesn't take down the hosts bandwidth ie crash..i doubt that.

a parachute type is post draft jarvis landry or similar that already a FA or soon to be cap casualty... this pace has no middle its dhop or cooks then crashes back to bottom with Washington? there are others out there.. Dak could use a Cobb type someone who runs great routes and catches 95% thrown their way ie Jarvis etc, dont neccesarily need top line starter, get open and catch the dang ball,. given Browns gone sure wash replaces him but still leaves hole as wr3 IMHO

They will get either OBJ or Hopkins so don’t panic. It won’t happen fast though.

With the news today with the restructures, I think OBJ is now in play. All the top receivers got 11 million, think we can get OBJ for that number.

OBJ is a Jerry guy. I don’t know if Stephen and McClay want to go that direction. The one thing with OBJ is he is just money and won’t cost picks. Two ACLs just scares the mess out of me.

For a Gallup type of contract, I am fine with the gamble. He is the best in the market and is a legitimate threat at the position. I like Hopkins better but he will cost more draft capital and money
