I think he also has the skillset be a pro bowl LT. People will disagree with me, but I see it in him

I agree with you, and so does the Cowboys coaching staff. Since day one they've let him go out there and play head up against the opposing team's best pass rusher with very little help.

Church is a play maker. I can't wait until Wilcox is ready to start; it could be tantamount to Kevin Smith taking over for Isaac Holt in 1992.

And Poe is a 3-4 NT and we are in the 4-3.

I thought Frederick struggled a bit early on, but played pretty well once the rain stopped.

I was much more down on Lee than Carter (who I thought played pretty well). Tough to decipher whose fault on some of the mixups in coverage were.

Anybody who wants to change OT's should have their head examined. We are able to leave Tyron on an island by himself. While Free has been playing very well, he still needs help. I'd take this OT play right now without blinking an eye.

Rain? It stopped about 5 minutes in (actual time, not game time) and was never more than a light drizzle.

I don't feel like Lee has been dominant, but I felt that the TD pass to Bowe was completely on Carter. He went for the pump fake and left his zone then slipped when he tried to change direction. Lee was left on an island and had no contain.

Could be wrong but that's just what it looked like to me. Otherwise Carter looked pretty good.

Also, not including the Poe whiffs, I have no complaints about the OL's ability to pass block. They are straight up handling it like bosses.

Because everyone and their dog was convinced Poe would be a bust. I don't recall anyone here wanting any part of Poe in that draft

There were people who liked Poe. He was boom or bust and that was an issue but there were certainly people on this board who liked him. ABQJr. loved him. Would not shut up about him. LOL......

What did Poe do that was that special? Fred basically didn't even block him and he had a free run at Romo twice.

The first sack was all on Fred. Looked to me that he was expecting one thing and Poe did another and left him standing there like a child at a candy store, just gazing around. But Fred is going to be a beast. He is a rookie and he learned a very valuable lesson about playing int the NFL. The second one, who knows, he went one way and mack went the other.. not sure who messed that up, but since Fred makes the calls, I am guessing Mack didn't hear the call.

I've yet to see any convincing argument for the PFF style rating systems. And bad data is worse than no data at all.

I saw an article on Blogging the Boys that had Escobar as the 22nd ranked TE ( ahead of Witten at 37) and Murray as the 8th ranked RB according to the PFF rankings. Just thought I would throw that out there with all the love Escobar and Murray have been getting on this board lately.

I was thinking to myself after the KC that game that Church (albeit I haven't paid attention to many other safeties in the league) has to be playing among the best through 2 games. What kind of metrics does PFF use to grade out players?

Travis almost got Romo killed on Poe's sack. Poe is becoming more dominating every week. BTW, We drafted Mo before Poe.

That was more Travis Whiffing on the play than Poe dominating. On the first Poe sack Frederic barely got one hand on him and on the second one Poe ran by him completely untouched. Travis has a bad game.

Yes.

One time it looked like Fred's hands just slipped off him. The other time Fred shifted the assignment to Bernie. That may or may not have been on Bernie. And since we know Bernie sucks, I wouldn't be surprised if it was his screw up.

I think the first one his hand placement slipped off of Poe. Obviously, Poe won that battle.

The second one I tend to blame on Bernie because it appeared that the left side of the line went left and Bernie didn't. I could be wrong on that.

Either way, I'm not 'rueing the day' on Poe. He's built for the 3-4 NT or is a space eater in a 4-3. We do not employ any of that with Kiffin. So unless you still want Rob Ryan around here, then we should have drafted Poe.

I agree on Poe. I should also say I really like Travis, he will be a good one for us.

how can selvie be second ranked player on D for our team, behind hatcher, and Dware be ranked ahead of him as a 4-3DE?

Do you watch the games?
Selvie has been VERY good. Solid vs run and pass. Clearly we have a 3rd DE now.

Ware had a stinger in the shoulder that slowed him badly last week after a typical dominant week 1.

Anyways the DL is NOT an issue.

PFF isn't perfect but these grades are accurate. A bad game out of two(Frederick) will skew things wildly but it is what it is.
None of these grades fail the eyeball test.

Last week it was scary how easily blockable the LBs looked and how poorly they got dropped into coverage, probably because of Alex Smith running.
That was the biggest shock to me.

I knew Will Allen was a spare and TFred was a rookie and hurt players (Mo/Ware) suffer.
