We seem to have a good amount of these guys getting run. While its true some might not develop and could fall out of spots down the line, but its still a promising sign that we have added alot this past draft

-Tyler Booker. While his play was a bit uneven, he was strong asset on the right side before his injury. He looks like he will be an engine for the run game

- Donovan Ezeiruaku. No sacks yet, but he keeps building every week. Looks like he will grow into a plus starter at DE.

- Shavon Revel. INC

- Shemar James. Started getting alot of playing time the last couple weeks. Not a guy right now you want on the field as much as he has been, but you can see his upside

- Jaydon Blue. Haven't gotten to see much in preseason or Sunday. Had a nice pass block, hopefully thats a sign he can be a three phase back

-Ajani Cornelius. Nothing so far in the regular season, however he had an incredibly strong preseason. With Thomas effectively being a swing tackle right now, there doesnt look like much of a path for Cornelius as far as 2025 playing time

- Jay Toia. Been trading DNP's and lackluster performances with Mazi Smith. Looks as though they are favoring Smith now for that 4th DT spot. Good chance both are DNP's when Winfrey comes back, so we may have seen the last of Toia this year. He needs work, but his movement ability makes it seem there is a good amount of game to unlike. He will be an interesting watch in the 2026 preseason

-Phil Mafah. He had good moments in the preseason, and overall looked adequate. Not sure if he will be on the 53 or PS when he is healthy. Dont know if they could safely get him on and keep him on the PS. His 2025 role on offense would probably a break glass situational power runner in the event Williams gets hurt

This is what you want. Solid contributions from 3 or 4 guys.

I have faith that Booker, at minimum, will be a slightly above average starter.

This class will mostly ride on Eze and Revel's development.

I think given time, Eze will develop into a solid player.

Revel is the question mark.

Round 6 Pick 204 - OT Ajani Cornelius Oregon
Round 7 Pick 217 - DT Jay Toia UCLA
Round 7 Pick 239 - RB Phil Mafah Clemson

Those are the 3 I can't wait to see next summer. A year in the system and full off season is what they need. So far it's looking like a pretty good class for the Cowboys.

EZE already flashes more on film.

The Jets game was a big example. He may not be getting eye popping sacks but that will come.

He is making plays and helping others make players

For me, Booker has to turn into an absolute beat who makes the pro-bowl every year or he was not worth the pick at #12. The Cowboys backup OL is showing why using the #12 pick on OG was not necessary. Of course we had no idea in April who would be hurt and who would be playing, but what if they moved Thomas inside to RG? Plus, they still had Hoffman, Bass, Asim Richards, plus Saadiq Charles, and Adeniji? Maybe Booker is or will be better than all those guys, but how much better?

With needs at RB, LB, DT, and WR, the Cowboys could have made a greater impact elsewhere. In the first round they could have taken Ebguka or Golden at WR. Or Hampton at RB. Derrick Harmon has impressed in Pittsburgh in his rookie year at DT. The Cowboys could have gotten more improvement out of some of those other guys. Imagine if they drafted Golden or Egbuka. They woulnd't have had to use a 3rd round pick to get Pickens. If they picked Harmon, maybe they don't trade Parsons for Clark.

It is way too early to evaluate this draft but if in 3 years only 1 or two of these guys pan out again, it will be another year of could'a should'a.

Every other team in the league is sprinkling in their rookie RB's and some are getting nice success. Meanwhile in Dallas.......we have Miles Sanders

Not fair to deem Mafah anything at all right now. The guys not been activated. I venture a guess he will get some touches later in the year.

Check out 2024 draft with Flournoy and Nate Thomas.

Yeah actually looking at that draft....they are currently starting every single one of those players except Justin Rogers. That draft may have to get revisited sooner rather than later....

Booker is a monster. Multi-pro bowl type player..you can easily justify #12 on a player like that.

I don't like taking guard that early but if you do it better transform this offensive line. The only way to justify it was for this run game to get going and it is so I won't say nothing bad about the Booker pick. It needed to happen.

And Caelen Carson. He isn't a starter either. 2024 is looking like a really good draft class in general.

Carson is hurt. When he gets healthy I have to assume he will start since he did last year. So I count him as a starter.

I guess my point was all of these guys have started at some point.

Just giving it its due I hated that draft.

He started because of injury. Am I remembering that wrong? I didn't remember him being very good.

Starters are likely going to be Diggs, Bland and Revel. Carson probably isnt much better than Elam but might be the 4th CB

Yeah I don't see it. I see them putting Carson at the slot since Bland doesn't want to play there. Plus he's coming off a ACL injury...he'll be a starter at some point but not this season IMO.

Ehh I'm not remembering either. Or yes he did because Lewis was here. But with Lewis gone I'd assume Carson, Bland and Diggs will be the starters.
