If Dez is still struggling after 2 games how can we expect Romo to be Romo right out of the gate after his long layoff? I don't see this streak ending anytime soon.

Just give me a top ten draft pick. That's all I care about anymore.

While I generally agree with your post, I think his fragile ego and perpetual lack of maturity, as well as an average ability to get separation are the reasons why he is not an elite receiver. True, he's one of the best at jump balls, but he's brought down and become insignificant at times by some of the other issues. The poor offensive output is yet another situation that will get a rant or two from him and create angst within the team.

I've had a few of those on my teams, and the rationalization is always something like "He just really wants to win...", which implies that the rest of the team doesn't want it as much, or that he deserves special treatment. When Hardy goes on an angry rant and says he's a warrior, it's the same problem -- no one else is?

Back to the good news -- Dez should feel a lot better having his QB back, and so should everyone else. Tony is the on-field OC, and he'll make the in-game adjustments. We'll sustain some drives like last year, and keep our D rested and unexposed. Would be nice to have Lee back as the on-field DC, but he may not be ready for a while.

I'm looking forward to seeing us kick some Dolphin tail.

One game at a time.

He's not an elite receiver to some because they're currently living in the moment of the Cowboys season and his game on Sunday that saw him drop a pass on 3rd down. No one was saying he wasn't an elite receiver last season. Saw one post after Sundays game where someone said maybe we shouldn't have resigned him. This is typical of posts we see on the board when things aren't going well.

I said prior to Dez returning vs Seattle that it's going to take time for him to return to form if he ever does this season. He hurt his knee in the Philly game so he's not 100% healthy. He and Cassel just started working together a few weeks ago so I didn't expect much. With Romo coming back he's going to have to work off some rust so we'll just have to see how it goes vs Miami.

1. It looked like Ro and Hitch left off where they were last season in this game. They both played well I thought. Not sure if Lee gets in the way of these 2 but it did remind me of last year.

2. An Escobar catch!!! I thought I might see a sasquatch before I saw another one of those!!

3. We won the TO ratio. Although Patmon dropped a freaking pick six!!

That's it, that's all I got. Sadly.....

Yeah I was starting to think that something wasn't gelling with lee and McClain. McClain seems to play better when he's the one people are looking to.

So you thought McClain played well? Well...I just broke down the 1st half tape....4 missed tackles. In my book that's an F. Hitchins has completely disappeared. He can't get off blocks....and doesn't look interested...in playing. Guy looks like he is wearing weights around his ankles...he is so slow.:(

I wouldn't give you a dime for any of our LBers...that unit is that piss poor:confused:
