Their run D has not faced Zeke yet.

Their run D has made life tough on us in recent years. Elliott had 96 yards on 22 carries last year in the one real game we played them. Good, but not great by any stretch.

They will load up to shut him down and make Prescott beat us. Prescott is going to have to make some plays with his feet and his arm to win that first Eagles game IMO. I expect Elliott will have some rough sledding for him in that game. He won't be shut down entirely but I wouldn't count on him easily dropping 100+ on them either.

We are 4th in yards per drive and 2nd in points per drive. The Eagles are 8th in yards per drive and 4th in points per drive.

I think if you look at the Eagles and now the Niners...Chip Kelly's main strength may have been putting together defensive front 7's.

Their defense is really good. I wanted Schwartz when he became available, but knew they wouldn't give up on Marinelli just yet.

We will see how they do without Jordan Hicks. The Skins started to attack them with TE's with success when Hicks went out. I also think teams need to pick up the pace of their offense for a bit and force their D-Line to not be able to substitute so much.

The Eagles front 4 is one of the best in terms of depth and run-stopping that I've seen in recent years. Cox, Curry, Graham, Long, Barnett... these are all pro-bowl caliber guys

That said, I think their back end is a lot weaker and can be exposed by a good QB

I agree. Good thing they are not doing well against the pass.

Correct me if I’m wrong but didn’t Zeke have one of his longest runs of the season last year against Philly that was called back because of a very borderline holding call?

Obviously...the numbers don’t lie but that 96 could’ve easily been 150 if not for a bogus call.

Honestly, I don't remember. You could very well be right.

I'll also say this............ if the OL continues to gel the next few weeks, it's possible that this OL would be better than the one that faced the Eagles last year. Cooper seems to be finding himself and each week you seem to hear less and less about the mistakes Collins is making.

Barnett.

What I wouldn't give up to have had him slide to us in the draft.

Their safeties are good but yeah, I agree, their CBs are weak. They will be getting Darby back soon though.

They are certainly the weakest part of the defense, but they have played better than I expected. Getting Darby back will definitely help. It wouldn't shock me if they held him out the two more games leading up to the bye even if he could go sooner.

With no Hicks, they now have a new weakness in the middle too. Counting on Kendricks is fool's gold and Goode sucks.

I agree on Goode. Kendricks is better this year (when healthy), but still too inconsistent. Hicks really hadn't been right all year...even before the achilles injury you could tell something was off with him.

But the Eagles offense is significantly less talented across the board than the Cowboys except for one position.

Guess which one.

I'm not putting Barnett into the probowl yet. He has 2.5 sacks on the year. 2 last week. Jim Schwartz utilizes the 0 blitz often and Barnett is a situational pass rusher.
Not saying he is or has been bad...and most of us would swap his speed for Taco's spin move all day..
