You'll recall, Maxwell was part of the trade that allowed Philly to get into the Top 10 in the draft that they then flipped for Wentz.

Honestly- I think the division is as good as lost. We need to play well from here on out to grab a WC spot. But it was the SF game last year that really spurred the win streak.

I saw similarities in last weekend's contest. SF is bad- but they are not THAT bad. I think we're starting to come together and the kids are gaining confidence. This will be a different team in 4 weeks. If we can go 3-1 we will give ourselves a good chance to reach the post season.

In my heart, I believe the Cowboys are better than the Eagles given both team's best game played vs each other. We will prove it when we play them in Gm 1. The lingering effects of that game will cause a confidence issue for Gm 2 in Philadelphia.

They will probably win the division but if the 'Boys grab a WC spot- I give us as good a shot as anyone in the playoff field at that point to make noise.

Their run D has made life tough on us in recent years. Elliott had 96 yards on 22 carries last year in the one real game we played them. Good, but not great by any stretch.

They will load up to shut him down and make Prescott beat us. Prescott is going to have to make some plays with his feet and his arm to win that first Eagles game IMO. I expect Elliott will have some rough sledding for him in that game. He won't be shut down entirely but I wouldn't count on him easily dropping 100+ on them either.

I hope they do force Prescott to beat them because he will.

Yes, I agree. I'd also throw in Ertz. No disrespect to Witten, who is an all-time great and future HoFer. But at this moment in time, I'd give the edge to Ertz.

Nah..Ertz is always hurt. He does not stack up to Witten for this reason alone. Trust me, I've had him on my Fantasy team a couple times throughout the years, and there is not a lot of consistency with him, either because of injury, or he doesn't show up in the stat sheet, week in and out.

But he is on pace to have his best season so far. So in the end, we'll see.

I like the way you think but I believe we will have to play a damn near complete game to beat Philly this year.

We have to go on a tear here on out. This team cannot afford another game where we snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. The margin of error is almost nonexistent with the hole we put ourselves in.

I just don’t see Philly squandering their grip on the east. And if anything else, their schedule is fairly easy compared to ours.

Yep. Haley was the nasty bastid that drove the entire team to be better and win. He can never be underestimated in what he meant to those championship teams.

Agreed. I think we aim to re-capture the flag in post-season play. My prediction is no-one will want to play us come December- but there is no margin for error hereforth. Too many teams vying for too few post season slots.

You know what. The Cowboys must still play them twice. If they played them the next two weeks and won..the records would be the same....discounting the game in hand. The loss of key players still mean something to Dallas.
