lost me with the thread title "Some life advice from Jerry" We are doomed if any of us are taking life advice from a delusional human being like him.
Yeah, wouldn't wanna take advice from a self made billionaire.

that is a totally different subject my friend. Making money in business does not make one a person u should take life lessons from pertaining to relationships...and love. There are tons of miserable rich folks that cant get out of their own way in their personal life. Trust me man. If I wanna take investment tips, I will call Jerry. If I want life lessons, I will read my Bible.

I don't believe I've ever before heard someone refer to themselves as a flea man. But ok.

At least this time I understood his point. Most people use different examples. But he's a flea man.

Who puts fleas in a pint jar?

Take this quote and put any ordinary 80 yr old’s name to it and it becomes something else. It’s almost complete nonsense. Like most of his pressers these days.

Let's hear his wisdom about making a kid and not taking credit for it.

Lol, not taking credit for making a kid when fully responsible for making the child, but wanting the credit for Super Bowls when not fully responsible for winning them.

Yep, sounds like Good old Jerry.

A top dollar FA we signed? Nope. We are terrible at player evaluation, so we fail when acquiring a player at a high price.
Most teams are, you are buying past production hoping you get 85-90% of the past during the 1st few years of the contract. The teams that appear to do well are usually bottom dwellers that tend over pay to get above the cap floor. The packers a few years back struck gold but at the time they appeared to have overpaid for both Smith's at the time based on what they had done up to that point s in their career. ROI is better at the middle tiers of FA the risks are not as high and the disappointment is less and usually so are the contract lengths

I heard this lesson decades ago on a TV show. They told it better than Jerry, but I got the point, even from his odd way of putting things.

Is this supposed to be some kind of metaphor for sowing your oats while married and then denying your own child's existence?

Agreed.
Instead of fixing our talent eval process, we just ignore this important avenue to obtain talent.
We'd need a different GM, and Jerry is unwilling.

I betcha Jerry still doesn't know why Brandon Carr didn't work out. Or why any FA we signed didn't work out, for that matter. Does Jerry have a clue why Roy Williams didn't work out at WR?
