Rush is not as good as he was the last time he had to play full time and neither is the team. Back up QB’s should be played more if you want them sharp season after season. If I was a coach my backups would see at least one series per game. Lamb is not that great a WR either. Ceedee has all the physical traits of a good WR but lacks focus and seems unable to get separation and does not sync well with QB’s. We should have paid Amari Cooper who was more well rounded in skill set.

I think Zeke is not fully physically washed, I think he was coached and trained wrong by Garrets crew (just like Dak) and I think Dallas has no clue how to run block. Zeke may also lack focus does not self evaluate and improve.

Overall, Mike McCarthy has failed to instill discipline needed in the team that brings focus to be a playoff contender.

Lastly Jerry’s fetish with having a few 4-6 overpaid stars (Jersey Sellers) with mediocre rest of the team has failed for 30 years now.
Just observations and I am the last guy to pretend to be an expert NFL analyst so I could be way off on my assessment.
McCarthy's unwillingness to give Zeke the ball no matter if he's getting 5 yards or 5 inches a pop is inexcusable. Rico could barely get back to the line of scrimmage on most of his carries last night. The one thing we know about Zeke is he is seldom TFL'd. Even if a defender is there in the backfield Zeke will drag him for positive yards if there's only one. Now if there is a 3-4 man jailbreak in the backfield then all bets are off.

If Rush is ***, what is Dak?

Because what i saw last night wasnt any less impressive than whatever Dak has done this season
This thread has nothing to do a Dak. I don’t support Dak. I’m just pointing out that rush sucks.

Some of y'all thought Dak was worth 240 million. That's a far bigger problem than Cooper Rush
nobody thought he was worth it. just that it was inevitable given the circumstances, what the market demands, and better than the alternative. last part is not looking accurate.

The offense with Rush is continuing what it has pretty much always done when Dak has been out. Getting about 14-15 points LESS per game than it did with Dak. In prior seasons the defense has been able to make that kind of output competitive. That defense no longer lives in Dallas so without a 30 ppg offense this team has no shot. This is 2010, 2015 and 2020 all over again. Lose your QB , lose your season. Time to start tuning into the Draft Show on DallasCowboys.com

Remember when the Cowboys beat Cincy while Rush was throwing balls directly to defenders that got dropped. The board bent over backwards telling us that those didn't matter. And they are correct.. but the only reason they didn't matter was that the defense was smothering teams back then. This defense aint smothered nobody this year. So the offense needs to get it together.. and that's on McCarthy. Rico gave us absolutely zilch on the ground last night and he refused to even allow Zeke to see if he could get going. All this talk about "riding the hot hand" when Zeke was the main guy is now apparently out the window. When Zeke can't get going it's "bring in the other guy.." When the other guys struggles it's "let's keep giving it to him and watching him suck." I am so done with McCarthy it aint even funny.
sorry Ronnie, but I think Zeke is done. he is way too slow and although he still has the vision to go to the daylight, he is just not able to get there fast enough.

and where is Khiladi with his spreadsheet of almost interceptions. I know he keeps one for Dak, that he tracked in preseason and practice. can't tell you how many times he brought up those argument of almost interceptions and claiming Dak is leading the league in almost interceptions.

Rush had a lot of empty calories. all those yards didn't lead to score, because as soon as things got tight, Texans played just a bit harder and they stopped him.
he got lucky 6 of his passes didn't get intercepted. luck is not how you win.

Rush is garbage.
Agree...as is our entire QB room.

We truly have a hopeless situation

Yea sure

So you went on a “bash the backup QB” crusade, with no agenda behind it? Lol
ive always said dont sign Dak. Was against it the entire offseason. Don’t be mad at me that there are smart people in here that know both QBs ain’t it.

there are some real agitators on this site. they can at times push you into positions you don't necessarily want to be in as an overcorrection to their nonsense. dak sucks and rush deserves to be bashed at times due to the disingenuous stuff they like to push just to troll.

I'm tried to join the Hate Club since that's all seen or relished, even now. Trying to figure the criteria and what's the initiation requirements:

Hate Dak because he replaced Tony Romo
Hate Dak because he is paid, therefore he should take all the blame.....including fake punt efforts.
Hate Dak because he should have told Jerry...."That's too much money."
Hate Dak so we can throw away the pre-Dak playoff misery.
Hate Dak because he should overcome the OL, RB, WR group and coaching staff every game.
Hate Dak because he should be a two-way player, since our defense is typically ran roughshod on.
Hate Dak so Cooper can be revered even more.
Hate Dak so the posts about him can be the same every week, and during games when someone else embarrasses themselves.
Hate Dak so we get hoodwinked with the "Jason Witten for Coach" campaign rumors.

I just wanted to join because all the Haters continue as frequently as an Andy Griffith rerun.
Don't forget the Andy Dalton will take this team to a Super Bowl fantasy. How did that go? About as funny as a three stooges pie to the face, in my book.

Cooper Rush is one of the worst QBs in this league, not just starters, but every one of them. He does nothing well and has no upside. People really bought into that little run he was apart of where the defense played lights out and asked him to do nothing.

sorry to disagree with you. I have seen zeke get tackled many times in the backfield and get zero or negative yards...don't let past emotions dictate your judgement. and you have to make in game decisions based on past performance. rico had trouble last night, maybe it was that play and you go back to him and let him get another. we know zeke and have seen him all year, the guy is struggling really bad and is not capable of breaking anything. his longest run of the year is 11 yards. he is averaging close to 2 ypc....

I would go with dowdle the rest of the year.
