Takes a good team champ. Suffering from DDS too?

Its amusing because we won 12 games 3 straight years. How many prevent defenses do they think Dak saw while winning 12 games a year?

Garbage time stats are about padding numbers against the prevent. No one is playing prevent when they are losing by multiple scores.

Rush threw our first hail mary pass since 2003 . Apparently no one has taught him the finer points of padding your stats.

The condition is more widespread than I thought

They learned today......he ain't and before y'all mention Lance, he sucks too
I think Grier may be the most capable Qb on the roster. And yes, I’m aware that means nothing haha.

Rush with a solid line and good weapons can be effective as we’ve seen before. When your WR2 is changing every play between Tolbert, Fluornoy and Mingo you don’t have a chance.

I don't agree. He's not a very good QB. Rush is inaccurate, has poor pocket presence, and his arm is too weak. His arm is so weak that even good decisions end up being bad ones because defenders arrive before the ball.

Only like 5 people here thought that. The Dak haters, obviously.......
I'm tried to join the Hate Club since that's all seen or relished, even now. Trying to figure the criteria and what's the initiation requirements:

Hate Dak because he replaced Tony Romo
Hate Dak because he is paid, therefore he should take all the blame.....including fake punt efforts.
Hate Dak because he should have told Jerry...."That's too much money."
Hate Dak so we can throw away the pre-Dak playoff misery.
Hate Dak because he should overcome the OL, RB, WR group and coaching staff every game.
Hate Dak because he should be a two-way player, since our defense is typically ran roughshod on.
Hate Dak so Cooper can be revered even more.
Hate Dak so the posts about him can be the same every week, and during games when someone else embarrasses themselves.
Hate Dak so we get hoodwinked with the "Jason Witten for Coach" campaign rumors.

I just wanted to join because all the Haters continue as frequently as an Andy Griffith rerun.

Rush is a capable backup, but you should always have a more talented young QB on the team you are developing, imo.
I would argue that DAK would be a capable backup. Rush shouldn't be in the league.

Rush DID lead the offense as good as Dak did at any point in the season last night, but Dak sucks, so that's not really a compliment

Rush threw so many YOLO, *** it passes last night that coulda/shoulda been intercepted, he really got lucky he didn't have 3 or 4 more picks, including what should have been an easy pick 6.

His one redeeming quality is that he doesn't make a quarter of a billion dollars like our loser choke artist starter does.. .but so does my garbage man.

There’s no point in playing Rush. He’s a perennial backup.

You traded a fourth for a guy who needs playing time to develop (or not). You have that opportunity now.

Any football guy from the organization and Jerry who says Rush gives the team the best opportunity to win is irrelevant because winning for the playoffs is now irrelevant.

Not only are you lying, you’re trying to insult the intelligence of people and play them for fools.

Rush will continue to play until we are mathematically eliminated from the playoffs

no he can't. even when we had that, he wasn't effective. he led that offense to 22nd ranking or worse in every statistical category on offense.

the defense saved Rush, by averaging 13 points a game. give me that and I can win at least 2 games.

so even with solid weapons, he was below average.

Rush had a lot of empty calories. all those yards didn't lead to score, because as soon as things got tight, Texans played just a bit harder and they stopped him.
he got lucky 6 of his passes didn't get intercepted. luck is not how you win.

Rush is garbage.

Team is cooked. Best case we get an elite WR with our top 10 pick, a modern OC, and an RB in round 2/3 and let Dak get back to MVP conversation next year.
That’s not enough for this team & Dak to get back to anything. Even if we hit in the draft next year, that won’t fill our holes. You didn’t mention a new HC who will bring discipline & toughness, both of which the Cowboys are seriously lacking.

Rush is not as good as he was the last time he had to play full time and neither is the team. Back up QB’s should be played more if you want them sharp season after season. If I was a coach my backups would see at least one series per game. Lamb is not that great a WR either. Ceedee has all the physical traits of a good WR but lacks focus and seems unable to get separation and does not sync well with QB’s. We should have paid Amari Cooper who was more well rounded in skill set.

I think Zeke is not fully physically washed, I think he was coached and trained wrong by Garrets crew (just like Dak) and I think Dallas has no clue how to run block. Zeke may also lack focus does not self evaluate and improve.

Overall, Mike McCarthy has failed to instill discipline needed in the team that brings focus to be a playoff contender.

Lastly Jerry’s fetish with having a few 4-6 overpaid stars (Jersey Sellers) with mediocre rest of the team has failed for 30 years now.
Just observations and I am the last guy to pretend to be an expert NFL analyst so I could be way off on my assessment.

The silver lining in all of this is maybe the Cowboys realize they need to go draft a QB higher. Maybe he balls out and much like Dak taking over for Romo, maybe the new guy takes over for Dak.
and maybe Jerry hires a GM — why do most Cowboy fans hold unrealistic hopes???
