The reality is NFL advertisers in general were getting anxious and worried, not just a Papa John’s.. Thid is a sport’s bubble because people paid too much for the rights to sports. ESPN paid way too much for a less profitable product in NBA and the NFL has been dropping ratings for two years now.

Jerry’s views regarding the marketing of the sports is actually the sane one as far as advertisers and TV revenue go.

Jerry is on a whole another level when it comes to NFL owners and making money. The guy is a genius and the rest of the owners are copying him. His owning the licensing agreement for the team allowed the franchise to team with other companies outside the NFL for fashion and other sectors:
