It does not bother me, I figure this out a while back. I can promise you if D'Angelo Hall were signed next season the same folks ripping him today would be singing his praises and talking about a clean slate and benifet of the doubt and never find fault. I'm not trying to change anyone's opinion you either like TO or not. In the mean time he is on this team and I do hope he plays well but the non-sense I don't care for and if Dallas could find a WR to replace him I would love it.

As a lifelong Cowboy fan, I am always reading some of the interesting conversation on this board. Some good, some not so good. The one consistent lighting rod on this and any other forum related to the Cowboys is TO.

From the moment Jerry & Bill brought him in, I was sceptical but was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. In my opinion, through all the soap opera circus that he brings, he has been worth the trouble. And to be honest, how much trouble has he really brought? TO's biggest problem is he craves the spotlight and will do anything to get it, but let's look at how he is covered by the media compared to others.

TO is covered by BSPN for anything and everthing (pulled hamstring, Tour de France bicycle ride, sleeping in a meeting, broken hands, sptting, you name it), however, players such as as Manning and Tank Johnson of the Bears commit full blown crimes and receive an hour of attention. It sickens me to think these guys can pull things like having unregistered firarms in their house right next to their children, and all the Bears organization can do is keep him out of the Bucs and Lions games. Manning can intimidate and abuse a person in a restaurant and recieve little or no media attention for his crimes. I know there are others along this same ilk ( I still can't for the life of me see how Ray Lewis is some media darling) but I think it gives a pretty good idea how all things TO get blown out by the media.

You may not like his flashyness, or his love of the spotlight at all costs. Heck, it bothers me too. But if you look past the media perception and the self induced hype, TO is a top flight WR who works as hard on the field as anyone. His teamates seem to support him and he has made our team better this year. Love him or hate him, you have to appreciate that.

Great post. :welcome:

Just imagine had he been caught taking a leak in a dumpster, lol....just kidding Latuna. :)

Well you said that the guy made this thread because it bothers him that the "haters" do not like T.O. ....... so in turn you responded to this thread because it bothers you that the "supporters" do like T.O.

Thats just using your own logic back at ya.

Personally I cant stand the guy ..... but I love the Player.

To me he is just like Deion ........ a hired gun ...... who will never be a real Cowboy.

But while he is wearing our colors ...... he is the man.

It does not bother me that we have fans who love TO only thing that bugs me is this additude that we should all love TO and never say anything bad about him.

It really does not matter that much what a person does in there personal life, its the way that the person comes across, either as someone people admire and make excuses for, or someone that irks people and they become villafied.

Ray Lewis is loved becuase of his passion for the game and the fact that he is charasmatic and says all the right things to draw people to him, so his mistakes or misbehavings are more quickly forgiven.

TO will say whatever he feels like saying and he doesnt care who it bothers as long as he really feels he is showing a situation for what it really is or was. Like some of the things he said about McNabb abd the eagles organization (some of what he said was valid) but it is unpopular for a person to speak out like that. TO is not very savy as far as "office politics" go and says things that people will not like to hear, it seems as he cares more about exposing what something is or telling his side of the story. He rarely denies things that people bring up like the falling asleep in meetings and spitting incident. It would be better for his image if he wasn't so open about stuff and learned how to tell people what they want to hear, but that doesnt make him a bad person.

It comes down to how much attention does he need on himself and will that distract from team unity.

Well I have never defended the man ..... other than to say he has really done nothing since coming to Dallas (before the spitting, that may have been an accident or may not) ... the guy is a spoiled rich jerk diva with the mentality of a preteenager .....

I only defend the player when people say things like "cut him over these drops" or "cut him cause he said something" ...... we finally have a receiver that is putting up the numbers that Michael Irvin did and people are wanting him gone because he is a jerk ...... who cares.

So unless Michael Irvin or Jerry Rice are coming back I want to keep our 11 td 1000+ yard Wide out ......

Some people do care and you have a problem with them? Why is that?

Well I have yet to say we should cut him but I do admit if Dallas could find a guy to replace him I'd say don't let the door hit you on the way out.

i'm just tired of all the TO self-induced drama.

TO did this, no he didn't, yes he did, wah wah wah.

for all you TO haters, consider this!!! (as if their little butt-nuggest of wisdom will change the world and suddenly force one set to see *their* way)

for all you TO lovers, consider this!!! (as if their little butt-nugget of wisdom...)

i just don't give enough of a damn about the man or his production to want to put up with the hype. **** and go earn millions trying to catch a ball and leave your drama with your mama and let the world love the team in their own way - not a forced way by ANY player.

beating up a guy on a laptop?

wow, hope they never stop in a starbucks. they're gonna need more jackwipes to do all that beating.

I dont ...... but I will always tell why I want him here until he cannot produce those numbers anymore.

As much as you guys dont like it ...the fact remains that without T.O. we would be a mediocre offense again ...... like we have been for years and years.

When he becomes an average Wideout ...... then his antics and the circus that surrounds him will no longer be worth it.

and some people feel even with his production, he's simply not worth it.

no one will ever agree on TO except that we're all pretty much sick of him and his story always being shoved on us by the media and then in turn, each other so we can whine about it, only it adds fuel to the fire vs. helps get through it.

It would be worth it to me if we win another Superbowl ...... and we need all the offensive help we can get.

If all this stuff really bothers anyone in their real life ...... then they need to stop watching football and get help :lmao2:
