Some predictions on this board are ridiculous

You know who else thinks we're sleepwalking this week? Big Bill. Guess that makes him pathetic too.

You're right. This board could use some big-time humility. If it happens tomorrow, the "I told you so's" will be plentiful--and justified.

I predict the Cowboys will win on Sunday by a score of 76 to 3. I guarantee a win by at least 73 points. Further, JJ will score 3 touchdown, MBIII will score 3 touchdowns and TO and Witten will all get in the end zone. All the other points will be scored by the defense.

There, now you should have the opportunity to post an "I told you so" even if we win. I wouldn't want you to miss that opportunity.

they've been consistent in beating the bad teams, and Washington is definitely bad, hell, we smashed the Texans who ran rough-shod over them

not that anyone will give a rats arse what i think (you may cut and paste that with a 'you are correct' response), but i think all bb is trying to do is to not fall into the trap of being a homer with blinders on.

a fan trying to be reasonable and objective? perish the thought.

Eat crow? For what? A Dallas victory woudn't redeem the sheep on this forum in any way.

That's right. Completely ignore my question about what you're predicting on this game and skip right to the part where you can chastise the "sheep" without saying anything that would actually make you accountable for any of the crap you spew.

My last name ain't "the Greek." I don't predict games. I desperately want Dallas to win, and have been doing so since 1978. Happy?

how is predicting that you'll beat a 2-5 opponent being a homer? expecting to blow out a bad team isn't unreasonable

You're unwilling to offer your prediction on the game but VERY willing to give EVERYONE that you view as "mindless boosters" a big "I told ya so".

Its good know that you have absolutely NOTHING to say "I told ya so" about since you won't actually make YOUR OWN prediction on the game.
You just run around criticising the people that DO.

Sir I think you may be the one wearing blinders. :) The Cowboy -Commander Game has never been a fore gone conclusion who is going to win.

The history of this game has proven many times that team records can be thrown completely out the window. If there was ever a trap game for our Cowboys....this is it.

The skins have their backs against the wall.....if they lose they can just about throw in the towell; therefore, If you think this is a gimmie game you are badly mistaken. A Grudge game, Divisional game, game they must win, home field,......they will not go quietly into that good night.

I could care less if the fans are "overconfident" as long as the players arent. I guess you can include me among those "overconfident" because i think the Skins have no chance in hell of winning since its looks like Moss is not playing. if he was playing i would have given them at least a shot

Precisely.

Furthermore, I have little problem with him continually being negative day in and day out, but repremanding people who chose to see things differently is not his place. Nor is it his place to hand out "i told ya so's" if and when his negativity comes to fruition.

I completely understand what you're trying to say. The problem is that every single I post I see from him is something negative about anything and everything to do with the Cowboys.

bbgun was agreeing with sandtrapp who had a problem with predictions of 50 point blowouts, not just beating a 2-5 team.

with dallas' domination of the skins over the last 7-8 years, beating the skins had become almost a birthright for many fans. when that didnt happen for once, it was seen as an fluke. now those fans expect to see dallas beating the skins regularly again instead of expecting a tough divisional game that may go either way. dismissing a rival is not usually a good thing.

Hmm. I guess you weren't on the board after the Carolina win, when I was praising Romo and our kissing bandit of a coach. Please continue with the fiction that I'm some sort of self-hating fan.

he did say he wanted dallas to win desperately.

Come on now guys. Hasn't the past showed you that on any given Sun?????
I see predictions 50 point wins to shutout.
I hope the members saying this are kids ,and if so I can understand ,but the over confidence I see is very upsetting.:banghead:
The way we played on Sun. nite and the way the foreskins are playing ,Yea , we should win , but we've been here before (remember)??? and we took it in the cheeks.

So O.K., be optimistic ,but lets be also real ,this is the ultimate rivalry.
Anything can and usually does happen.:star:

Yep. Any Given Sunday always applies. That's why on Sunday, November 19th we will return home 6-3 and have a good chance to beat the Dolts.

A voice of reason in the wilderness. How rare in these parts.

I think you're completely misunderstanding all of my posts. I HAVE NOT said ANYTHING about what I think the outcome of the game will be.

My point in this thread is that its completely ridiculous for a Cowboys "fan" to ANXIOUSLY wait for other COWBOY FANS predictions to be wrong so he can say "I told you so!".

That said, I believe the Cowboys will win but I'm unsure whether it will be a close game or not. I do fear that the Cowboys may come out a little flat while the Commanders may come out fired up and get after it. I certainly have my concerns about this game and every game. I don't run around with blinders on. If someone predicts we're gonna win by 50, that's their opinion. I will graciously disagree with them and offer my thoughts on why I think it may be different than they think. But I WILL NOT run around waiting for the opportunity to say I told you so because one of my fellow Cowboy fans was a little off on their thoughts of the game.

No what will happen here is the "new" fans and hanger ons who have been watching football loosely for a few years will be here with these topics.

Tony romo sucks
Bill parcells sucks
SHould bledsoe play?
Ware sucks
Dallas sucks and should play for the number 1 pick

All of these appear here after every loss. Look at the league everyone is up and down except three teams. Everyone else is all over the board. Tomorrow should be no different it is a toss up.
