-Matthew Golden is my new #1 WR. 6 feet and 4.3 with SEC production. Cowboys have shown interest as well.
-Pierce is clearly the #2 Edge now in this class, Green's stock has taken a hit with those sexual assault allegations.
-Graham not testing, short arms and 25lbs lighter has him falling, but how far? Nolen's character issues could do the same.
-Harmon to me is the best DT that has emerged post combine. Strong testing and physical attributes.
-Will Johnson's stock took a hit with his lack of length, speed was already an issue.
-Hampton will not get out of the 1st rd, but Judkins might now be the back to target over Johnson from Iowa. Giddens the former KState back also had a good 40 time that makes him a late day 2 target.
-I maybe in the minority but Campbell the linebacker scares me to death with his lack of instincts. Schwesinger is my target.
-Emmamori is going to be a 1st rd pick now after that elite testing

-I really believe those prospects who refused to test with hurt their stock. Teams want competitive players not ones scared to compete under same conditions.

will johnson is 6 2", do you mean he has short arms which is true but I don't think is a major concern with his height.i also would like to see McMillan run in his profile day before dethroning him as the no 1 WR in the draft.

Uh Oh. Golden is now my favorite for 12. Will Carolina pass on the kid. If they do O think he gets to us. Tet not running or doing agility drills has me worried about him. I think a really good defensive tackle will fall to 44 and most importantly I am confident we get two running backs to share the rock in the third round and with the 5th round comp pick that are better then Dowdle.

With the Diggs rumors, corners need to be studied.

Golden did impress and improve his draft stock, a lot.
Agree on Pearce, but I already had him as the #2.
I hope Graham falls to 12.
Harmon is a stud I'd take also, especially if I can drop back a very short distance and still land him. I still think Nolen will be a stud in the league so...
Wouldn't have considered Johnson in RD 1 anyway.
Hampton is a stud, probably the "most ready to rock" RB in this class. If we miss on him I'd be happy with either Judkins or Johnson.
What scares you about Campbell? I like him. But I would be happy with Schwesinger too.
I'm not sure I can justify taking a S at 12, at least not over the other prospects that might be there. Are you assuming a trade down first?

Something we have to keep in mind as I have heard many times over the years, is that these combine workouts are just are just a piece of the big picture or puzzle. We have players every year who blow up the Combine with certain measurements, speed, or strength but can't translate on the field. Few years ago, Jordan Davis blew it up by running a sub 4.5 over 335lbs. Today he a good run defender but offers little or nothing to pass rush. In fact, there are nuggets suggesting the Eagles may refuse his 5th year option. Carter, his teammate, took a hit coz of character concerns but is now the most dominant DT in the league.

My point is there are there still a lot of evaluation pieces to consider besides the combines.

Jordan Davis ran a 4.78, which is insane at his size but not a “sub 4.5.”

I agree with the overall sentiment that folks go way overboard in thinking some of these test results crash or inflate draft stock.

Lack of arm length, questionable speed is going to take him outside of the top 10.

They did talk to several corners at the combine, but also remember it was just a rumor being reported about Diggs.

I have heard multiple media scouts say Campbell is a little slow processor, that is a huge red flag for me.

No doubt, it is part of the evaluation process, not over drafting a player cause of his workout in shorts.

Emmanmori looks like future HOFer at the Combines but some nuggets are questioning why it didn't translate to more production on the field. Of course, it may not be all his fault but that's for the rest of the evaluation process to answer.

Interestingly, Golden's top speed at 23.57 which was 7th best but he had the best 10 yd split at 1.49 seconds. Isaiah Bond ran a 4.39 but had the 2nd best top speed at 24.17. His 10 yd time was 1.51. It seems like bond has a higher top speed but a slower get off, while Golden hits his top speed quicker. If I was looking for a WR to stretch the field, I would choose Bond over Golden. Perhaps Golden would make a better slot guy running intermediate routes.

I really like what Daniel Jeremiah said about this draft. It is not a start draft, it is a starters draft. There aren't many future HoF players in this draft but there are a lot of solid guys who can start in the NFL. It is a good draft to have a lot of picks to fill a depleted roster. The Cowboys just have to be smart. I would take the player who would make the biggest impact in the first round and then start filling holes with the next 9 picks. trading down and picking up extra picks might work out well too.

There’s nothing about Golden that screams “#1 WR” to me. I think he can make a very good #2, but a weak WR class is pushing non-elite prospectsto a spot where you should only take an elite prospect.

We was being viewed as a receiver that was going in rd 1, his timed speed now moves him up.
Besides there are other factors to consider for the college WRs........QBs, playcalling, offensive system. Some will be better pros and college and vice versa. For a good example, Deion was determined to make sure Shedeur shined. Everything Colorado offense was centered around pumping Shedeur .......NFL OC, play calling, 2-3 three WR set. In fact, I have no idea who was their running back.

The point is college coaches have so much control over how much certain players will shine/produce. It's why the transfer portal now most effective tool for college players.
