He never said that at all.

Not even close. Dez was classier than CJ in that exchange last week, though CJ wasn't bad, either. Even in the broadcast, though, they were trying to spin it the opposite direction to stir up a story.

Dez addressed this, too, in his comments after the game: how the media was trying to twist what he said this week into the opposite of what it actually was. It's transparent, and pretty embarrassing for those of us who actually listened to the interview.

I posted this after the Denver game. After watching us play the last 3 weeks I think I know the answer.

Dallas plays not to lose and im sick of it.

We could be as good as we want but we'll never do it if we're just constantly trying to play to the level of our competition.

You have to really be out of touch with the talent on this team to post something like that.

We can be as good as we want! We just don't wanna!

Jerry wanted Payton as the head coach, but Parcells was still around. And nobody in their right mind fires Parcells for Payton at that particular time. It probably would have killed any chance that Payton would have succeeded here.

Yep. We missed out on Payton, but the circustances kind of dictated that one.

I think the truly bad miss was missing out on Jim Harbaugh. Could have absolutely had him. I think he would have been perfect for Romo.

Good point about him seeing it for 4 years and this being one of the rare times he has blown up. I agree there is probably some truth into him wanting to have a better game or show himself in the same ball park as CJ, but I guess in my mind, I like seeing the intensity from Bryant because our team has been lacking in it for so long. I'm tired of our veterans on this team, I'm tired of their non-chalant losing attitudes out there. Our oline had a somewhat off day but Romo was off against the Eagles, and Commanders, and now the Lions. I don't put much of this loss on our oline. Romo looked extremely lethargic out there yesterday. Was very slow to take his 3 steps back after hiking the ball. He has to be more consistent out there to give us a better chance of winning. Can't just show up in the 4th quarter. Late into the 3rd quarter he only had 88 yards passing. That is ridiculous against a horrible defense.

Romo did not have a typical game but should he have to win every one of our games singlehandedly?

I was expecting to see more Carr hatred on here today.

I really can't blame Carr for being put in horrible situations all day and playing next to the JV squad safeties for help against Calvin Johnson.

Reid is a great coach *when* he has a great defense. When his defenses are decent, he isn't very good. That's why he crapped the bed once the late Jim Johnson passed away. Now he has a *great* defense again and he's able to manage that. We don't have a great defense.

I think relinquishing personnel duties is going to help him immensely in KC. Part of Reid's problem in Philly was he was actually pretty terrible at the draft, which held them back as much as Jim Johnson passing.

A nuts and bolts guy like Harbaugh is coming to Dallas to work in Jerry's circus? No chance. Harbaugh had a lot of options. It's not like he was Bill Parcells in his 60s with so many bridges burned. No way a guy like Harbaugh is coming to Dallas unless he's running personnel or hiring the gm. Very few top notch coaches with a wealth of options would be willing to come in and work under a couple of ham and eggers who fancy themselves football men vs. a lifer like Baalke.

Dez has seen this failure for 4 yrs now. He spent the week telling everyone how he was better than Johnson, then Johnson puts up one of the best games in history. That he would even make such a claim when he should be only concerned about winning an almost must-win game shows where his head is.

Romo was having trouble hitting anyone yesterday. He was terribly inaccurate, and his OL was worse than he was. But all of that aside, Dez acted like Keyshawn Johnson or Terrell Owens. It can only be each of our opinions since no one can get in his head, but I doubt we see any reaction like this at all from Bryant if we'd been blown out but he'd had 300 yds like Johnson.
You are crazy and any other person that thinks Dez only cares about stats. Do you not listen to him talk? Do you not are him excited about a win when he didn't do anything as far as stats. Stop with this nonsense. Ditka and the media wants to put players in the negative. Dez was mad because we have up a lead that we should have blown then out. Wasn't because Megatron has a "better" game. Dez never said he was better then Megatron he said he can do the same things he does and by his catches yes he can that is truth.

I must be outta touch then because nobody just beats the breaks off of us. We look like all of the good teams. Holes everywhere with superstar QB's that can make up for it.

1. I think the NFL officials try to help keep games interesting. No way does Dallas get a call like that if we're out of timeouts.

2. I like Dez's attitude. Im tired of the old attitude of this team. I love Witten and Ware but being company men has got them very little playoff success.

3. Im just laughing at how Jason is up there telling everyone that we let defenses dictate our offense after watching Calvin get thrown to over and over in double coverage.

The loss doesn't upset me a whole lot. Im used to this. It's just that everytime we lose this year I just keep thinking of the mistake we made by not bringing in Andy Reid. I really think he could've put us over the top.

I've always held that the refs dont blatantly change games, but are most definately told to keep games within reason for commerical slots and mere entertainment leading to higher ratings...that is why there is no ref accountability by the NFL or NFLPA?

He's not the great offensive mastermind that people set him out to be. He relied HEAVILY on the defense in Philly. Just like he is relying HEAVILY on the defense in KC. The offense is not really moving the ball around that well. But, they are not making turnovers and letting the defense do the work. McNabb didn't turn the ball over in Philly much either. For all of his faults, being turnover prone in Philly wasn't one of them.

Once Reid had to face coaches not named Campo, Spurrier and Fassel, the NFC East was a completely different story for him. And once he lost Jim Johnson, he was a mediocre coach.

Now...some coaches can't handle having a good defense. And some coaches don't really allow for the opposite side of the ball to have carte blanche on how they do things. I have to give Reid credit for that. But as a head coach I've never been wowed by him.

guess they were wanting the Cincinnati market over the New York market yesterday. Yeah, that makes sense.

I agree. Every team has holes. We have the players to pull this thing off and I believe we'll overcome yesterday's game.
