This has always been my feeling regarding Wade. He looks kind of dumb sometimes, but he knows more football than this whole baord combined (okay I exaggerate a bit, but you get the point).

I have not ruled him out at all. 13-3 trumps anything we've seen in more than a decade, but last year was a step back. They were worse than 13-3 and better than 9-7...if they can pull 10-6 or better and get a playoff win (or three!) then we will be going in the right direction.

im not ruling him out either, wade said change needs to come and it starts with him, so lets give him that chance;

lets see how OTAs, and training camp comes out, if their is more hitting, etc

even bob lily said today in an interview that someone posted that to him, the playes were hitting ready, thats what it looked like to him

that physically you can be ready, but hitting is another story;

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - Former Dallas Cowboys Pro Bowl Defensive Tackle Bob Lilly talks about his visit to Albuquerque, his personal life and the Cowboys Upcoming Season. Lilly was the first Cowboy to be inducted to the Ring of Honor.

to me, when bob lily, nate newton, cliff harris, randy white say that their is a lack of hitting in training camp, there is a problem, maybe wade sees that now; so lets give him that chance

those are some good thoughts,

true, the cowboys players had a tough coach in parcells and they griped
soft coach in wade, now their begging for discipline

which goes back to what i have been saying all along;

the players have to have a head coach that is tough on them like jimmy johnson was, but that head coach has to have control to fine players, heavy when needed, cut or trade players like jimmy johnson did

i think its common know that no player wants to work hard, you have to show him to become the great player he can be, he has to work

and you have to stay on top of them,

while at the same time, the players must either fear the head coach or respect him, i dont think the dallas cowboys players fear or respect wade either way, therein is the problem

now some of that lays at jerry jones door for not letting wade fine players heavy when he wanted too or letting wade get the offensive coordinator he wanted in jim zorn or getting dan reeves this year

and the players for not taking responsibility

with bottom line, you cant have your players running around in shorts the first 25 days of training camp with no hitting, or letting players get a day off after they blow a game like they did in the arizona game

I get the fear/respect thing but Parcells had the ability to cut or trade players if he needed/wanted to (See Antonio Bryant) and the team still didn't get it and still fell apart at the end of the seasons.

For some reason the core group of these players don't seem to get it, no matter who the coach is or what type of coach the person is.

My apologies. I was not trying to come across as all positive about the future.

The Super Bowl is in Miami this year. We are 0-3 in Super Bowls in Miami. We're doomed.

I hope I have redeemed my good name.

You have but those 3 games were at the orange bowl.

was this widely publicized? its the first I have heard of it...

I'm not sure about that either... Wade wanted Solari instead of Houck, but it's not like he's ever even had an opening for OC...

I'd like to see Wade Phillips coach his own way and not have upper management always dictate some ridiculous things to do, such as play this or that QB or have this or that OC.
