I don't want to lost MBIII even for a first and third. He brings too much to our team.

I would that that offer in a heartbeat.

MB3 is aiight, but I'd definitely say goodbye if someone offered a 1st and a 3rd. Hell yeah!!!

My guess is that it is someone Parcells would target.

So count out Hamlin.

I doubt its Julius Jones, please Parcells, take him!

It's either Barber or Crayton.

AAGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH!

I though that same thing watching the Monday night game. And it's why I'm not that worried about Cleveland's pick falling to 21.

I know Cromartie has put up some nice interception totals, but is he REALLY that good of a CB, or is he just opportunistic? From the limited number of times I've seen him play it seems to me that he's been more lucky that good! Anyways, I think the Hammer is the about to get extended. Crayton would be my second guess. MBIII probably deserves it more but I think that'll be done during the offseason (but before FA opens ;) )!!

He has great instincts and incredible hands.

It's a little of both. But he's shown some great ability, and his physical talent is spectacular. Many times, playing corner is little more than right place, right time. For this year, Cromartie's got that down to a science.

Cool! Didn't he bounce around (DB, WR, QB) at Flo State? I knew he was a great athlete but I wasn't sure about his CB skills.

Cromartie was the best pure athlete to step foot at FSU since DEION. If I'm going to take a risk on a player I want it a premium position like corner. Carpenter is a joke. Everytime I see cromartie making plays I want to puke.

If you're being fair, the few times we've seen Carpenter starting on sunday's he has been a bright spot in the defense. Too early to bemoan the pick either way.

Cromartie played CB only at FSU. He was going to play a little WR his JR year before he tore his ACL. He also wasn't healthy for portions of his SO season. It was clear his SO year when he was on the field he was a bonified STUD. He left after taking an injury RS his JR year rather than coming back. Had he played his JR or come back to prove himself and his health, he would have been a top 5 pick hands down.

The only possible knock on him when healthy is he's too tall doesn't have the hips. But I think he's dispelled any concernes there.

In Dallas' defense, I wasn't sold he could stay healthy in the NFL. I still wonder, but at this point we'd all obviously gladly trade Carp for Cromartie.......if he stays healthy, he'll be an all pro for a long time.

Corner wasn't even an option in 2006.
Always an option, I guess - but looking back, that wasn't really on too many people's radar with Glenn, Henry and Newman, that's for sure. We needed an OLB opposite Ware. I think we're pretty sure that Carpenter wasn't the right choice for that position, particularly not in this defense. Hopefully he does something to impress the coaches at ILB this offseason.

Now that, I think, was obvious at the time ... to some.

But if we'd taken Cromartie as a 4th corner over Carpenter, this place would have exploded with vitriol.

If it is Crayton, im glad to keep him, if he can develop more speed/quickness, he would be a solid #2.

But right now, the way he is, hes much better suited for a slot receiver. I love his hands, catch almost everything.

How is he going to "develop speed?"
