Someone should tell Deion he's not a Cowboy

I may be in the minority, but I can't stand Deion Sanders acting like he's got the keys to Valley Ranch, and that he's one of the most loved Cowboys in our history.

Outside of his first season with the Cowboys, I can't see that he was anything but a highly paid 'bust'- because he spent more time on the sidelines than in the games.

And, I can't stand the way he set T.O. up in 2006 on National Television for his interview when T.O. spit in D'Angelo Hall's face. Deion set T.O. up by quesioning him on national television, and he's the reason T.O. got fined.

He claimed he loved T.O. like a little brother, and then offered him up as a sacrifice for his ratings on the NFL network.

Hall was a crybaby, and Deion helped him distract attention from the fact that T.O. ate his lunch all night.

And, Deion seems to think that he is one of the most loved Cowboys ever- when he gave us one decent year, and got a ring in return for it.

As far as I can see, Dallas doesn't owe him anything- and I wish he'd quit acting like he's a Cowboy- when his pass interference against Irvin knocked us out of the third Super Bowl in a row, and we had to come back the next year.

But for all of his hype, I still see Deion Sanders as a Falcon/49'er who came here and helped for one year-which is probably why he sat on both sides of the fence when he helped D'Angelo Hall cover for the whipping he took at the hands of T.O.

Just a rant. It's the off season.

Without Deion we don't win super bowl XXX. Just want all you haters to remember that. Deion may not be a true cowboy, but he and jerry jones have a mutual respect for one another. Deion will always be grateful to jerry for writing him that 13 million dollar signing bonus check in 95.

I love deion and if he has to babysit and mentor Adam jones for us to be successful this season, then so be it.

I love DEION. He calls it like he see's it and dosen't pull any punches.

Well I dont know about all that stuff in that post.

But I loathe Deion Sanders more than any athlete in the history of sports. The day he was off our roster was a great day.

Not asking TO about the spitting incident would have made Deion a stooge or a lackey. It also would have been a slap in the face to real journalists everywhere. ESPN wasn't paying him to make TO or the Cowboys look good.

Exactly. Don't blame Deion, blame Owens. if he didn't spit in Hall's face, he wouldn't have had to worry about any fines or answering questions.

It is also true that Deion helped us win SBXXX, and that is what the game is all about. Deion played very well for us and I have no idea why people are hating on him.

Deion may not have started in Dallas, but he is a true Cowboy, and he does have the keys to Valley Ranch, just like Irvin, Emmitt, Aikman, and Daryl Johnston.

Anyone who labels Deion a bust, or loathes him have serious personal issues.
Oh, T.O. did not spit in Hall's face, they were in each other's face yelling and with mouth pieces in yes spit will fly, it was not done intentional as Deangelo cry baby Hall lied and said that it was.

What has Deion done that he needs/needed to be redeemed? And who is Roger Clemens?

Does someone have a point here or an agenda. Ok think what you want but Deion is Deion. And most here like the guy at least. Nothing bad to say about Deion except he's hard to take if he rolling on you. He's a Cowboy. Ask him.

The man won a Super Bowl as a Dallas Cowboy.

He lives in Dallas.

He's friends with Irvin, Jerry, Nate, etc.

Deion is a Dallas Cowboy for life.

Uh, there's no proof that Owens did spit in Hall's face. One can conclude that it was purely accidental (spittle) and Owens accepted responsibility for it...

Not like he hocked a big snotball on Hall.

Why?He is the greatest CB ever to play the game.

Like him or not Deion is more of a Cowboy than the OP could ever dream of being.

I find it beyond arrogance that a fan could ever think he could say someone who played for the Cowboys for half a decade is not a "real" Cowboy.

I still don't believe TO spit in Hall's face. He may have been jawing with him and accidentally spit or something like that but that just seems out of character for TO to do that. He's not Bill Romanowski. Hall is just a crybaby because TO abused him that night.

I could never stand him, he is so loud, such a narcicist and one of the least classy players I have ever seen (looking back at who he was scoring on and putting his hand on his head, spraying Tim McCarver in anger in the locker room as a Brave). He is my least favorite Cowboy of all-time.

actually TO admitted it. He was interviewed on the field after the game and asked point blank if he spit on him and he said yes.
