Like him or not Deion is more of a Cowboy than the OP could ever dream of being.

I find it beyond arrogance that a fan could ever think he could say someone who played for the Cowboys for half a decade is not a "real" Cowboy.

wow, hit a nerve huh

actually TO admitted it. He was interviewed on the field after the game and asked point blank if he spit on him and he said yes.

Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't TO say that they were yelling at each other and yes he spit on him but it wasn't like he meant to, it just flew out?

I may be in the minority, but I can't stand Deion Sanders acting like he's got the keys to Valley Ranch, and that he's one of the most loved Cowboys in our history.

Outside of his first season with the Cowboys, I can't see that he was anything but a highly paid 'bust'- because he spent more time on the sidelines than in the games.

And, I can't stand the way he set T.O. up in 2006 on National Television for his interview when T.O. spit in D'Angelo Hall's face. Deion set T.O. up by quesioning him on national television, and he's the reason T.O. got fined.

He claimed he loved T.O. like a little brother, and then offered him up as a sacrifice for his ratings on the NFL network.

Hall was a crybaby, and Deion helped him distract attention from the fact that T.O. ate his lunch all night.

And, Deion seems to think that he is one of the most loved Cowboys ever- when he gave us one decent year, and got a ring in return for it.

As far as I can see, Dallas doesn't owe him anything- and I wish he'd quit acting like he's a Cowboy- when his pass interference against Irvin knocked us out of the third Super Bowl in a row, and we had to come back the next year.

But for all of his hype, I still see Deion Sanders as a Falcon/49'er who came here and helped for one year-which is probably why he sat on both sides of the fence when he helped D'Angelo Hall cover for the whipping he took at the hands of T.O.

Just a rant. It's the off season.

Dieon is much a Cowboy than anybody else. Who cares if he wasn't drafted by us. That is how FA is and DS was a beast for us. Without Deion, it would of made it that much harder to win a Superbowl.

Christmas day 1995. I was in Sun Devil Stadium in Tempe, AZ behidn the Cowboys bench area watching Emmitt Smith score his 25th rushing TD of the season to set the new mark (since eclipsed).

Down below me just above the Cowboys bench was the wheelchair section of the stadium. I watched Deion Sanders swipe football after football and go get Cowboys players to sign them and then he gave them to the kids in those sections.

From where I sat that day that was about as Cowboy as you can get and he is a Cowboy in my book.

Yes, when he admitted it he wasn't doing so to say he did it intentionally.

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2701378

But did T.O. even know he spat at Hall?

At first, he said he did, telling the NFL Network after the game: "I got frustrated and I apologize for that. It was a situation where he kept bugging me and getting in my face."

But on Monday, he insisted it was an accident.

"When it happened, we were jawing in each other's face, so it wasn't anything intentional," Owens said. "I didn't intentionally spit in his face. He's trying to make it seem like more than what it was by saying I hauled off and spit in his face. I feel like if I spit in his face ... somebody would've seen it."
------------------------

DeAngelo Hall was just mad because T.O. lit him up in this game.

Without Sanders, the Cowboys wouldn't have won their last Super Bowl, and in 1996, in my view he was the team MVP, playing both ways. It was unfortunate that the team started to decline after Deion showed up, but it certainly wasn't his fault. He was the best cornerback the Cowboys ever had, which is saying something. He made four straight Pro Bowls and was first-team All-Pro three years while in Dallas (and each would likely have been four had be played more than nine games in 1995). How many free agent pickups do that? He was one of the best free agent signings EVER.

Are you done? I despised Deion back in the day just as much as anyone. However, He is more of a Cowboy than you have ever been a Cowboys fan. After all, he wore the Star. He helped us win a Super Bowl. The entire time he was here in Dallas, he shut down half the field. If you want to blame anyone for our lack of success, blame Jerry, our scouts, our coaching staff, very poor drafting, Tagliabue, free agency, the salary cap, injuries, etc. To make Deion out ot the be scape goat makes you come across as uninformed and uneducated on the goings on of the Cowboys over the last 10-15 years.

After his playing days, he remained as a resident of the Dallas community. He has on several occasions come in to mentor our young CBs. He participates in many charitable events put on by the Cowboys.

You need to check your nonsense at the door silly beaver.

As far as him interviewing TO, that is his job. He is supposed to get to the meat and potatoes of the matter. Michael Irvin does it, I don't see you calling him out. Deion is definitely not the anti-Cowboy media person that Troy Aikman has become. He is a solid analyst, who asks good questions in tough spots. He shows charisma, humor, passion, and flair in his work with the NFL Network, just as he did when he was a player.

People talk about Deion helping us win a Super Bowl, but I remember him making a "business decision"- as he called it, and taking a dive to avoid hitting Bam Morris on a breakaway run through our secondary.

It's just my opinion, but Deion seems to want to be Mr. "whatever"- depending on what city he's in. He claims Atlanta stadium is his house, and if the 49'ers were on top- he'd be right there with them.

It's just a personal pet peeve on my part, and please forgive the rant;

But, I keep thinking about all of those years he stood on the sidelines while we paid him top money- and I keep thinking about his showboating with the 49'ers- and I keep thinking about how he offered up T.O. as a sacrifice on National TV.
A true Cowboy doesn't do that to another one, just because of his ratings. He could have downplayed the incident, and still covered it in the interview- instead of just loving on T.O. and then sticking it to him on national TV.

I have a different view of the spitting incident anyway. If Hall hadn't gotten in T.O.'s face, he wouldn't have gotten spit on. To me, it's that simple. And the way he 'tattled' afterwards showed he was just a big baby. I have no respect for Hall. He showed last year how pitiful his ego was- single handedly costing the Falcons a game by showing his rump.
