Great point !!!!Your right the difference between teams is Coaching, QB play and depth to nullify inevitable injuries. 2 of the 3 we were missing in the Romo years.

I hope so. But my solution is "drop to fetal" immediately!!!
No. It isn't.
Maybe you can make my ignore list.

Pro sports isn't a resort vacation. It's a cut throat business. Many players have lost their jobs to injury or poor performance. Bledose had it happen to him in both instances.
All offseason we heard from Romo and the Cowboys how much stronger Romo was. Heck, Romo even said after the hit last week that last year he would not have been able to take that hit. Well thing is, he couldn't take it this year either. A small hit caused what we are dealing with now. Another season we have to play without him.
The only thing that is protecting him is he is in the backloaded portion of his contract. So we can't trade/cut him. And Jerry loves him. He will most likely play again when he gets healthy. He shouldn't but most likely will.
But if Dak shows promise and plays well, the Romo era should be done with.
That, or Dak is a dark wizard that causes the starter to get hurt (see MS State).
What I love about him provides the most anguish. That's easier said than done. The competitor in him won't allow him to give up on a play. As long as he has time, he thinks he can make a play.
I can't fault him for that even though I hate he got injured.
I kind of miss those days.Same here except I was the guy inside the bedroom.
Agreed. He was to be in shape. He was to be stronger. He also didn't practice much in training camp. What a luxury!
I bought into the hype. I ate the cheese. I hope Dak takes this job for good...
I would LOVE for him to be Romo's heir. It does seem interesting that things seemed to have aligned just right for him. If Romo were a D-bag, I wouldn't care if he came back but he is not. The best case scenario in my opinion is that Dak handles things well until Romo returns and they go to the SB and win it. Dak continues to develop and Romo retires at the end of next season with another SB. Dak steps in and there is ZERO steps lost due to QB transition. Do I think that's going to happen? I guess it's technically possible, but I will make no predictions either way. I'm just kind of tired of Romo having bad luck.
It's makes me sad that Romo never got us a super bowl...
But... It is what it is....
Like it or not....
We are moving on from Romo this year....
Either by choice or by circumstance.
To me it just feels like the time is now for Dak..
