I’ve been around long enough to know that to reach the upper echelon’s of the NFL playoffs and to compete for a Super Bowl you’ll need to have very good offensive and defensive lines. You HAVE to have a legitimate running game so that late in the games with the lead you can pound away the time on the clock. Likewise you need a defensive line that can eliminate opposing teams running games. So when the new head coach voiced these same feelings I was immediately onboard with the hire.

And then the draft and they picked 3 d-lineman, 2 o-lineman and 2 running backs furthering Scotty’s vision. We all should be excited about this change in philosophy for the Cowboys. They’re trying to become a tough, physical team on both sides of the ball. The season doesn’t start until September so there’s plenty of time to address the hole at WR and maybe a CB. So win or lose, there’s something to be excited about after last year’s mess.

Bwahaha. When's the last time DAL stopped the run? I don't see any improvement in that area this far.

A 7-10 offensive line that added a rookie.

Awesome.

Dallas will be building offensive and defensive trenches 2025 and 2026. Drafting a qb in 2027.
They might have a decent team after our elite quarterback moves on.

• Philly 42 for 179 yards
• Tampa 23 for 134
• Carolina 16 for 60
• Cincinnati 19 for 74
• NYG 21 for 116
• Washington 25 for 145
• Houston 25 for 141
• Philly 38 for 187
• Atlanta 30 for 100
• SF 36 for 223

So i guess props to them for having quality showings against 5 win Cincinnati, 5 win Carolina, and 8 win Atlanta. Those other 8 games are pretty ugly though

After watching the draft and FA the Cowboys are moving at a snails pace compared to the rest of the division. The Commanders have just distanced themselves with their addition of Deebo Samuel and adding a 4.3 WR in the draft.
Real weapons to go with McClauren. Daniels is best QB in division. Eagles have just built a 2nd string defense through the draft that would start for most teams. The Giants made leaps on offense and defense. Cowboys are basically treading water. Overlooking the biggest weaknesses on the team at LB, DT ,RB

Let's see...Dallas beat the Commanders last year with Rush and should have beat them the second time with Rush and an injured Lamb.

The Eagles have lost half their Super Bowl winning defense....yet some people think that won't hurt the number one defense from last year. It isn't like they lost scrubs. And their signings were pretty much all similar to what Dallas did in free agency. A bunch of lower tier guys.

The Giants have not been competitive in years. They still have no offensive line, no running game, only one real weapon in the passing game and two QBs past their prime. They did add to their defense, which was already pretty good.

By the time season comes around, we will have a better idea of how improved or how much worse each team is. RIght now, it is all conjecture.
