Not bright enough to kill our drives with penalties
The youngin hasn't had the benefit of having even decent coaching. You cain't learn what ain't taught.

We've had 3 all-pro linemen at the same time and not won squat with them.
When it comes to Dallas it doesn't matter what you have.
It's not about being positive or negative. I prefer a realistic view. What a positive view!!!!

Show me, don't tell me.
I hope you're not still falling for this stuff 26 years on thinking this is our year. At some point you guys are going to have to start expecting them to do something instead of just blindly believing in them year after year. They need to earn our trust.
An offensive lineman regardless of their position can DO THEIR JOB no matter what the QB does, or the R.B, Or the T.E, or the WR. They are dependent on nobody but themselves and their offensive line mates to get their job done on any given play. NONE of the other players on offense can say that,.....not a one. They are all dependent on the offensive lineman holding up in order for them to get their jobs done . I am more than happy with this pick. You can have all the great skill position players in the world but in the end,...especially the playoffs,....NO LINE= NO WIN.

I'll stop being doom and gloom when it comes to the Cowboys when I stop being right.Believing no matter what is done everything will fail isn't a realistic view either. Cowboys should be competitive, but on paper at the moment no I don't think they've done enough to be better. Improvement will have to come from a more disciplined team and intern growth.
Are people unhappy taking on offensive lineman, or are they unhappy with taking Tyler Smith? I think it is the latter.
I am extremely happy we selected Oline in the first round as it was our most pressing need.An offensive lineman regardless of their position can DO THEIR JOB no matter what the QB does, or the R.B, Or the T.E, or the WR. After the SF loss, we saw we needed to get tougher, meaner and more physical in the trenches.
Well said Hayseed, I personally loved the pick.An offensive lineman regardless of their position can DO THEIR JOB no matter what the QB does, or the R.B, Or the T.E, or the WR. Our pick sounds like Erik Williams...
He’s also 21 and already a powerful, strong player who will get stronger in the nflYes and he hasn't had the coaching he needs. I hope against hope he can get that here. Something as simple as teaching him to get his hands up after the snap shouldn't be that difficult to coach.
He played only tackle in college. Most tackles can play guard. It’s a much easier positionI'm sure he has "position flex". Which means he plays a lot of positions, but none of them really well.
