Does this sound like compliments for this off-season?

Or this?
https://cowboyszone.com/threads/the-big-gamble-this-organization-continues-to-make.524396/

I literally gave this front office an “F” grade for their off-season this summer and picked this team to go 9-8 In 2024. Hope I’m wrong but that’s what I said a few weeks ago.

I said this last January after that embarrassing loss at home to the pack:
“For me, “buying in” won’t happen until I see some meaningful changes made at the top of this organization. An organization led by a man that never takes ultimate responsibility for his team’s failures and will never make a fundamental change in the way he operates. It won’t matter who is coaching or QBing this team until that changes.“

You must be mistaking me for someone else if you think I’ve been calling this team “rough and tumble”, lol.
Fair enough I must have

It's the culture that Jerry created. We'll always be soft until he makes a drastic change in how he wants his team ran.

The last time we saw the Cowboys in AT&T they gave up 48 to an above average packers team. And the Cowboys looked completely soft in the worst playoff loss in team history.

Today we saw a repeat performance from a really soft Cowboys team. I watched every down of this embarrassing loss today and the saints OL and DL just completely physically dominated the Cowboys. Their secondary and LBs hit us like freight trains. Our response? One word: SOFT. Charmin soft.

Yes our QB did not play well, threw a terrible INT and was unable to get more than one TD drive. He deserves a lot of criticism. But he doesn’t block, tackle or cover anyone. This team has been kitty cat soft for far too long.
The team has been soft for a long time now. They haven't really been a tough seat since Parcells.

They were exposed for this week 3 of Last year against the Cardinals.

But, Who did they add on the DT and LB corps to improve it?

Osa and Joseph were rag-dolled continously and allowed runners to waltz to the LBs that were out of position all day. Liafau and Overshown showed their inexperience and Kendricks was just flat out late to the play.....his best days are behind him.

And BTW, did Mazi even play yesterday?

The Rb corp is exactly the same....either inexperienced or over the hill

The Cowboys are more soft mentally than physically IMHO. I think they are as strong physically as anyone but mental toughness enables you to take advantage of your physical gifts by remaining laser focused no matter what. By paying attention to every detail through the week. When guys are running free in your secondary you know none of that took place. When the line is consistently getting pushed back you know they weren't mentally focused either. They lost their technique and then were made to look like chumps. I did like seeing Guyton put Jordan in the dirt a couple of times though. THAT kid is a player. The hold he got in the red zone was completely unnecessary. If he just stays on the guy Zeke was gonna run past him anyway. But he is a big physical monster who plays with a lotta nasty. He just might turn into Erik Williams 2.0. He and Jalen Tolbert were my bright spots from that game. That catch Tolbert had WHILE BEING INTERFERED WITH was badass. But why the hell no flag? What is wrong with these refs? But I aint interested in talkin about the refs. I wanted to praise them two youngsters in a game where not a lot of our guys deserved any they stood out.

No worries. Jerry said Culture is not an issue.

Also, Zimmer.

Plus McCarthy.

Nothing to see here.
I think part of the problem is a lame duck coach, it’s jsut not very inspiring

They’ll probably fire him after they go 9-8 or whatever and get some young offensive coordinator to be hc and claim dak and the offense is gonna be reinvigorated

There's no need to apologize for calling it how you see it.

Starting especially at the top of the organization.
This is a given and this will not change but IMHOP the attitude and performance of this team is a direct reflection of their highest paid players. What you witnessed Sunday can only happen because Dak and CD and Martin and Parsons and Diggs and D Flaw allow it to happen. Say whatever you want but these guys do not play hard and the rest of the team follows.

This is completely untrue. This team was an absolute beast to play in 2016. Teams were terrible the week after they played us that year because we were physical as could be led by the offense. It was a team that lost but a team I was very proud of. Even though some players remain that team is long gone.

You could see we were soft last season. This looks like the exact same team we had last season. Once we get punched in the mouth, we’re done. When the opponent wins the toss and scores a TD on their opening possession we get destroyed. Today’s game was almost like a repeat of the debacle to Green Bay in the playoffs. San Francisco is going to destroy us in a few weeks.
This. Mostly.
But it's entirely possible it gets worse.

Nope, they were soft even in 2016 once the magic words were spoken, "Abracadivisional Playoff Game".

I'm genuinely glad I didn't renew NFL Sunday Ticket. It would not have been healthy for me to see yesterday's humiliation.

Hey, you have posted this same thread every year for about a decade.
Sadly true. Hmmmmm…what’s been the common denominator over the last decade….and last three decades?

There's no need to apologize for calling it how you see it.
Yeah agreed. But I wasn’t apologizing just sorry that it has to be said again and again.

It’s possible it could get worse. The teams confidence has to be really shaken after what happened on Sunday. Contending teams are continuing to get the better of us.

Kevin that weak DL is a huge reason they are soft. They get punched in the mouth and can’t do anything about it. That’s soft.

This whole organization is soft because Daddy and son have no accountability for what they do so that “softness” permeates the whole building. If there’s no accountability for the boss, there’s none for anyone else.
Excellent point.
