Dallas has been front runners for almost 3 decades now. If they get out in the lead and play from ahead, it's all fun and games. But you punch them in the mouth, game over. They have no ability to adjust when their initial gameplans aren't working. Defense is paper tissue soft up the middle and can be dominated with ease. This is what happens when you don't value the middle of the defense at all and cheap out.

Dallas builds their defense outside in. Spending their money on edge rushers and DB's. But DTs, MLB and safety is cheap junk and we pay for it year after year.

No worries. Jerry said Culture is not an issue.

Also, Zimmer.

Plus McCarthy.

Nothing to see here.
The Zimmer hire was called a brilliant move by a whole lot of Cowboy Nation posters. He looked like a beaten man today, like he wanted to head for the tunnel and call it a career. His defense completely tanked today, they couldn't stop anyone and the offense wasn't much better with the lousy play calling. It's too late in 2024 to clean house, but come next season more than 3/4 this team needs to be long gone, they reek.......................

Hard for me to reconcile great leadership with the complete debacles this team routinely experiences. Almost like the leadership angle is complete poppy cock.

The last time we saw the Cowboys in AT&T they gave up 48 to an above average packers team. And the Cowboys looked completely soft in the worst playoff loss in team history.

Today we saw a repeat performance from a really soft Cowboys team. I watched every down of this embarrassing loss today and the saints OL and DL just completely physically dominated the Cowboys. Their secondary and LBs hit us like freight trains. Our response? One word: SOFT. Charmin soft.

Yes our QB did not play well, threw a terrible INT and was unable to get more than one TD drive. He deserves a lot of criticism. But he doesn’t block, tackle or cover anyone. This team has been kitty cat soft for far too long.
They’re soft, because Dallas is entitled town and not title town.
There’s literally no sense of responsibility within this organisation..
That first half defensive performance has to be up there as the worst ever in the history of the organisation… and it’ll NEVER change unfortunately.

When you are right, you're right, and you are very right this time. Not enough guys on defense are bangers. They do not play with anger or violence. Teams that do, usually stomp the Cowboys. Baltimore plays that way and it is hard to imagine Dallas not getting stomped again.

And by the way, that same lack of intensity hurts the offense too.

Of course. He hasn't had time to bring in his players.

How do you guys keep missing this so badly? Just a refusal to see a lack of talent?

We got beat up front. We need better DT's. None of this blather about being soft is relevant. If we are soft it's due to lacking talent up front.

I swear, I tell you guys this over and over and over, how do you keep missing it?

Been soft for 25 years. Country Club Jones caters to players & coaches. Parcells may have dimmed the mood for a few years but Ol' Jerruh forced him out saying something along the lines that he couldn't have the "fun" he wanted with Bill there.

Aren't you one of the ones here who was telling us all off season how this current team is so tough and Rough and Tumble and they drafted this way?

Does this sound like compliments for this off-season?

Or this?
https://cowboyszone.com/threads/the-big-gamble-this-organization-continues-to-make.524396/

I literally gave this front office an “F” grade for their off-season this summer and picked this team to go 9-8 In 2024. Hope I’m wrong but that’s what I said a few weeks ago.

I said this last January after that embarrassing loss at home to the pack:
“For me, “buying in” won’t happen until I see some meaningful changes made at the top of this organization. An organization led by a man that never takes ultimate responsibility for his team’s failures and will never make a fundamental change in the way he operates. It won’t matter who is coaching or QBing this team until that changes.“

You must be mistaking me for someone else if you think I’ve been calling this team “rough and tumble”, lol.

Kevin that weak DL is a huge reason they are soft. They get punched in the mouth and can’t do anything about it. That’s soft.

This whole organization is soft because Daddy and son have no accountability for what they do so that “softness” permeates the whole building. If there’s no accountability for the boss, there’s none for anyone else.
