Sources: Randy Gregory rejoins Cowboys after appeal hearing

FRISCO, Texas -- Dallas Cowboys defensive end Randy Gregory is back at The Star Wednesday after spending Tuesday in New York attending a hearing for an appeal of a third suspension, according to sources.

Now the Cowboys and Gregory have to wait for commissioner Roger Goodell to determine the player's fate.

Gregory is looking at a potential year-long suspension for a violation of the NFL's substance-abuse policy that occurred this season. He was suspended the first four games of the 2016 season for a violation during his rookie season and subsequently suspended another 10 games for missing a test in the offseason.

Gregory and his agent split ties recently but that did not affect the status of his hearing......

He is like Jesse James! Wah-hoooooooo!

If its a missed test, its doubtful that any action is being taken for a single 'whereabouts' violation. Even WADA doesn't suspend for one. While the alleged missed test at rehab or wherever may have triggered the suspension its likely that it came after a number of missed tests.

How is this not bigger news if true.
I agree. Don't know how this reporter had this info, and the guys doing the interview didn't follow up on the comment.

I don't trust the NFL on issues like this. Even if you take away the deal he has with the NFL part of it, how does a guy like Bell have two consecutive suspensions for drug use and then have both suspensions reduced?
