Yes sir...and that is where I TEND to disagree.

It's a little bit like "eye for an eye makes the whole world blind". You can't just keep escalting things...it's exactly what "they" want. Drag you down with them.

I believe ignoring the ignoble responses, persistent "consideration" regardless...is the correct tactic. Maintain ones dignity and civility rather than joining in. I believe responding in kind makes one no better.

And I already admitted failing in such things. Not proud of it!
Welcome to my world, sir. I experience times of being unkind on this very website, while badmouthing Jerry for doing things that befuddle me. It's called being a part of the human experience for failing to be the example of a saint. I'm no saint and don't expect to be, although I try in my own clumsy way to do the right things. Being imperfect is forgivable. It's a good thing, because we will surely be imperfect, try as we may, not to be.

This new Coach has a lot of applicable skills for both team and his quarterback. Think there can be actual growth with both the Coach and QB having 5 year contracts and both familiar with system and each other?

You could learn how to resize your pics.
Why, stud? I still have a butt dial but my daughter in law is fully up and with two top shelf Cell Phones...full of applications and know how. I pay her bills for the phones. Still didn't go beyond insult for football.

This your view of next year's game against Washington?

Wow...your grammar...good lord! It's terrible my good man.
Quick, Private, run to the Radio Sergeant and ask for a full can of liquid squelch and then go to the next tank with a ballpeen hammer and hit the bottom of the turret. When the TC investigates ... stand straight up and tell him you are looking for soft spots in the turret...

Not at all...I was rewarded in all employments as an adult...you make believe as your truth.

Either work or learn but give instead of insult. Here and ever more you won't lie your way out of the real truth. Ethics and being a real man demand that there is no right way to do the wrong thing. Here, you show being a coward. I have successfully worked as a governmental specialist for 50 + years. You are proudly full of lies. Ever been in a fight for honorable causes?

Now tell us all about this:

DT - Alfred Collins, Texas (6'5", 320)

With only Mazi Smith currently on the roster at defensive tackle, the Dallas Cowboys are in desperate need for some more DT depth as well as another starter or two. Alfred Collins is someone who will hopefully be in play for them in the second-round (44th overall). At 6'5", 320 pounds with nearly 35" arms, Collins is exactly the type of DT Dallas needs to upgrade the middle of their defensive line. He is surprisingly disruptive and agile for his size and his anchor in the running game would significantly upgrade Dallas' run defense.

Glad to see Mickey out from under Jerry's desk and adding his two cents.

Odds are Schottenheimer will last 3 years, max. It's hard to be a head coach in the NFL when you constantly get undermined.

I know you are kidding with no malice intended but I wish the board had some mechanism to check the well-being of posters who posting stop posting after a certain gap. Good or bad, friends or adversaries many have known each other for years and in some cases more than people in real life. I guess Mod having an emergency email contact to make sure posters are OK, health-wise. Just a thought......
Our old buddy Rocky just might be too well to attend the daily dead horse beating of our once beloved franchise.

01_brian_schottenheimer

FRISCO, Texas – Let's see, seems to be open season on the Cowboys. The piling on has become the newest national rage.
Whatever they do and however they do it, well, it's wrong, and well before any results are established. No factual reasons, just that's it's the Cowboys and Jerry Jones.
Latest example being the hiring of Brian Schottenheimer as the 10th head coach in the franchise's now starting 66-season history. The criticism is nearly universal. Print media. Electronic media. Radio entertainers. Social opinionators wishing they were considered media.
And the disgruntled fans.

The past continues to haunt the Cowboys, their failures since winning three Super Bowls in four years from 1992-95 but not a one since. We know the facts facing a franchise that had won five Super Bowls in the first 30-year history of the Super Bowl, though having advanced to the "ultimate game" three other times and two more to the NFL Championship in the first two years of the Super Bowl era.
I agree with Spagnola to an extent that even though the Bears and Jets interviewed a lot of candidates, they knew who they wanted, so it's not that different from the Joneses not having a lot of interviews. However, a major difference is that the Joneses first tried to negotiate a new contract with McCarthy, which means they wanted to bring him back and then reacted to not being able to by settling on No-Schott without really considering anyone else. That seems lazy to me and is not at all comparable to Chicago and New York.

Now, we don't know how No-Schott will turn out compared to the two Detroit assistants, but the Joneses' reactionary hiring process isn't reason to feel good about it. If they had kicked McCarthy to the curb and immediately replaced him with No-Schott, we could at least say they were decisive in what they wanted, that maybe they saw some things in him as an assistant that made them feel that's the way to go. Instead, it was, McCarthy's walking away from what we're offering, what do we do? Hey, let's promote his offensive coordinator. He's Marty's son and he's been coaching a long time.

Generally Jerry gives coaches enough resources to compete in the regular season.

It doesn't matter who the coach is or who the quarterback is we are always at least three players away from competing in an NFC championship game.

We usually have just enough talent to make the playoffs except for this last debacle against Green Bay we had enough talent to go further probably why Jerry was so ticked off.

Marty Jr might be able to give them the gleam but if Jerry doesn't provide him with enough talent he will be just like everyone else that comes here circling the rim and then going down the drain

Spags...the definition of biased company man.
He has gotten worse over the years. Acting self righteous and rude to others that do not bow down to all decisions of this front office. One of the very few teams that would not have fired the GM after years of futility.

This effort to report isn't really a pissing into the wind if one watches for more than a desire to rid waste and relieve.

Here you go: With a shiny and well-deserved five-year contract under the arm of scouting guru Will McClay, the Cowboys hope to still be pioneers in the NFL draft going forward, and the hope is that they have barely begun, but their greatest accomplishments cannot be behind them, because their destiny lies above them.

5 year contract for the new Head Coach.
5 year contract for the present Quarterback
5 year contract for the current Head of player acquisition

Jerry Jones really isn't a dumb arse!

Here is a player who shows up similarly to the Cowboys' current tackle/guard Smith. A diverse offensive lineman:

  • Gerad Christian-Lichtenhan, OT, Oregon State (6'8", 328 lbs)
GCL showed me a nice anchor that is difficult to move once he drops it and sets his lower body, and Williams has a high motor that had him finishing initial block assignments before continuing to the second level to seek out more work; and I also feel he could be kicked inside, if versatility is something you like (hint: the Cowboys love it).

John Williams, OT, Cincinnati (6'3", 324 lbs) He excelled and viewed in the concluded All Star game.

  • Tonka Hemingway, South Carolina (6'3", 288 lbs)

With a name like Tonka Hemingway, you're likely destined to do something special with your football life, because what's better than a defensive tackle named after a truck but who also has the same last name as a legendary writer — earnest (wink) in how he approached the Shrine Bowl and his competitors across the line. If not for Hemingway's destructive ways, Cook might've had a better outing. He not only sacked the opposing quarterback but also had two pass deflections, his ability to "J.J. Watt" the ball in the passing lanes paying off well in Arlington, a wrecking ball with trees glued to it.

Not even gonna read it. Spagnola needs to go out on the same long slow boat ride as Jerry.
You'd think after all these years, he'd actually develop a conscience and resign instead of trying to cover up for these ridiculous moves.

Adams heads to Dallas after spending the previous two seasons as the offensive line coach for the Arizona Cardinals, heralded for the turnaround he was able to bring about within that unit in the desert.

His coaching resume extends much further back than 2023, though, having began in the collegiate ranks in 2005 — with stints as an offensive coordinator, run game coordinator, tight ends coach and running backs coach — before ascending to the NFL as assistant offensive line coach for the Indianapolis Colts in 2021.
With Adams operating as O-line coach, the Cardinals' rushing attack was ranked seventh in the NFL last season in total rushing yards (2,451) and trailed only the Baltimore Ravens, who boast both Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry, with a second-best league rushing yards per carry average (5.3 ypc).

https://www.dallascowboys.com/news/...ensive-coordinator-under-brian-schottenheimer

And though the play calling will belong to Schottenheimer, the task of helping to coordinate the offensive attack weekly, while also lending a hand to bolstering the impact of the offensive line, will most certainly be in the hands of Adams.
