I'd rather have rocky be sincere about it. I'm good with different opinions and outlooks.

But...if insulting good fans and fellow board members is done just for kicks...well what a sad pathetic human that would be.
We have a lot of those on both sides. I can understand how he and others lose their cool from time to time, myself included. It's a passionate sport.

You know something, I bet that many of the posters here don't even own a Harley Davidson!
I sold my bike after my cousin got killed in an accident, while riding one. Haven't been one in over 40 years.

Another fluff piece by Spag. No surprise there. He pretty much lays everything out on the exact reasons why we're skeptical and then turns around and tells us not to be skeptical. lol

I have serious doubts, and while I could be wrong, 30 years of failure serve as the foundation for my judgment until proven otherwise.

Sorry, my friend. I knew a biker in Louisville while stationed at Fort Knox, Ky. He made his own Harley from scratch and won about a 5' trophy with it. His wife was a prostitute but for the past 20 years was a local area town't Mayor. My wife and her were always friends. The Outlaws...Hell's Angels left them alone.

Relevancy?

It is going to take a ton of work in both the backfield and offensive line to make the Cowboys a great running team again, and it’s hard to find where the sense of urgency to do this work will match the perceived urgency they claim to have in winning on the remaining four years of Prescott’s contract - also the length of Schottenheimer’s head coaching deal.

Hawk, I wish we could have a mechanism like the one you mentioned above. It would be great if when you sign up there was some kind of emergency contact info. Some people want their absolute privacy and I completely understand. But sure would be nice to know how some members who have disappeared are doing.

There are so many great people on this forum. Many I’ve disagreed with. But I hate the thought of someone who may live alone and may have some major health challenges we don’t know about. Would be nice to be able to send them an encouraging message.

This is why we should always remember to avoid the personal attacks on each other. Disagree all you want. But everyone on here deserves being treated with dignity.
Well, almost everyone. Just kidding, there's no need to be disrespectful to anyone, just because you disagree with their point of view, or think the thread they started is "stupid".

Points can be made and opinions can be related in a civilized manner. We all just need to remember that we don't know what someone else might be going through, and even if someone else might have a low IQ, it's certainly not because they want it that way.

Regardless of whether it's real life or online, people all have feelings, and some can be emotionally scarred, even by strangers.

I like to tease sometimes, but not with malicious intent, unless I feel attacked, then I'll respond in kind, but I don't enjoy it.

Yep...I get it too. People SEEM so wacked out...but it might be a mistake to personally judge people's value and worth...on a sports message board.

I am guilty and I don't like it much. I admit it.

But...I will fight people that argue for " proper grammar and English"...on a sports message board. Doosh bags!

an occasional teasing is great! We need to make fun of people and...most importantly...ourselves.

But when that is ALL you do...personal judging, personal insults......and you "get off on it"....well...let's point that out and stop it,

the "I know more football than you will EVER know" ....kind of thing. Stop.

Ok let’s see….Mickey Spags is on the Jones payroll. I’m sure he’s heard the radio interview where Jerry threatened to fire radio hosts for having the audacity to ask the owner and GM a semi-tough question in the midst of the worst home loss in decades. And those radio guys aren’t even on the Jones payroll. So the odds of getting an opinion from Mickey that is the unvarnished truth is about as likely as snow in downtown Dallas on July 4th.

I lost all journalistic respect for Spags when he was on the former flagship radio station “The Ticket” back about 20 years ago. He was incredibly rude and argumentative to anyone on the air who did not worship at the Jones throne. He’s famous in the DFW area as a first class jerk to the real journalists that cover the team.

Occasionally, certainly rarely, Mick writes a decent story. But emphasis on rarely. I wish I could post here the audio of him arguing with Dallas radio hosts Craig Miller and George Dunham from The Ticket about 15-20 years ago, who were simply asking if it was time for Jerry to consider a different approach. Spags could have politely declined and said, “That’s my employer.” But he goes full on attack.

So sorry for my lack of enthusiasm for Mickey Spagnola’s opinions. He gives the infamous “Baghdad Bob” a run for his money on just saying what the boss wants said, regardless of veracity.
Spags is a lackey.

No one toes the company line more than that guy.

FRISCO, Texas – Let's see, seems to be open season on the Cowboys. The piling on has become the newest national rage.
Whatever they do and however they do it, well, it's wrong, and well before any results are established. No factual reasons, just that's it's the Cowboys and Jerry Jones.
Latest example being the hiring of Brian Schottenheimer as the 10th head coach in the franchise's now starting 66-season history. The criticism is nearly universal. Print media. Electronic media. Radio entertainers. Social opinionators wishing they were considered media.
And the disgruntled fans.

The past continues to haunt the Cowboys, their failures since winning three Super Bowls in four years from 1992-95 but not a one since. We know the facts facing a franchise that had won five Super Bowls in the first 30-year history of the Super Bowl, though having advanced to the "ultimate game" three other times and two more to the NFL Championship in the first two years of the Super Bowl era.
The brownnoser is still alive.

Embarrassing dude.

He is the incarnation of everything that is wrong with this franchise.

He has been a non-stop fan of the Cowboys no matter what and I still respect that and formal education insights that creates Air Force pilots at the Air Force Academy, through a Congressional Appointment and a formal degree. After flying a jet with NO training beyond cock pit ejection procedure and retaining a standard of I will not lie, steal, or cheat nor tolerate those who do. Crap load? He does real work and that I still respect.

Made $100,000 in a year, yet? How about 180 degree roll never experiencing 8..5 G's and never had to pick up the terrain to level off? Pansie stuff?

Media and Cowboys fans aren't taking "Shots" at Schottenheimer......they are taking shot at a FO that hired a HC not based on Merit. He has no resume that even comes close to a Ben Johnson that boasts a top offense under his tutelage

Schottenheimer may very well turn out to be an Excellent HC but there is ZERO Evidence to support that.

It was a puppet hiring pure and simple and anybody that doesn't see that needs to see a psychiatrist
Johnson has 2 years of coordinating offenses that lost in the NFCCG and lost in the divisional. Schottenheimer got to the AFCCG twice with Mark Sanchez at QB! He had success in Seattle, too. It’s simply wrong to say his track record is not close to Johnson’s (who benefited from a loaded offense)

He says... 30years of factual reasons lol.
No, you state nothing that doesn't just support your own attitude based what you value as an excuse.

All fans want a winner. He keeps up with current and principals long held as development and management of football principals in leadership and team potentials established in actual successful player attributes. One trains leaders with the same effectiveness principals whether in football or in the service.

He doesn't base all his views upon stereotypes and his adherence to a set attitude. An annual standard for observation does not base upon disappointment but truthful and annual view of a repeatable set of skill levels. Not Jerry did's instead did this. Accountability is at the top and with Jerry, but that is a shared element.

The man is truthful as to observing truthfully and where elements of sport are required. Not blaming ownership as the only changing element involved and just reporting a sense of blame.

I can appreciate the ability to count to 30 but misses the mark on realistic description of play and team abilities. They don't lose because of Jerry. The Cowboys have won because of four very good Head Coaches.

Landry
Johnson
Switzer
Parcells

3 of those were hired by Jerry Jones.

When cutting down a large tree what effect does rotten interior wood affect the danger in cutting the tree down. How does one judge the cut?
