Well you're not alone. IMO, Fassel wouldn't be a bad hire. Mooch, OTOH, I'm not sure about. Trying to not hold his Detroit tenure against him.

I'd actually prefer mooch...Fassel lost his players in NY. I think he's going to have a very difficult time winning the locker room

Is this adequate reason to become a Packers fan?? (J/K I'd never do that!)

We're not talking Dave Campo as head coach.

Fassel has taken a team to the Super Bowl, which is more than any Cowboys coach has done in 12 years.
Fassell is a good coach, but I can't say I would want him to be our HC and I really don't blame Commanders fans for being disappointed.

By July he'll be the answer to all their problems.

I gotta agree with SP, Garrett's brilliance is over rated in the Cowboy nation. After the Green Bay game the offense stopped clicking. No adjustments were ever made, they just kept calling the same stuff..
It was a joke. No one is above criticism. Just that when some in the organization are held in higher esteem than others, critics tend to be in the minority.

Actually both coaches lost their lockerrooms. Losing will do that no matter how good the coach is. That's why they lost their jobs in the first place. However, if I'm comparing resumes, I might look at Fassel's a little bit longer.

By July? Please, give us some credit - I'm already talking myself into liking him.

I didn't want to be accused of hyperbole.

I think Fassel is a good coach too. I live in the area and the feeling around here is that Snyder got the money to lure anyone to be the skins next coach. By anyone they mean Cowher.

What Skins fans don't realize is that coaching the Skins is not as attractive as they think.

This is true.

But, imo, it's not so much that Fassel is that bad, but he's mainly average. He's the type that can usually go around from 7-9 to 10-6, I guess much like Gibbs did.

This is a big relief. The Giants' defense started getting better as the season went on and they became more familiar with not only the defense that Spags brought but his tendencies. I am very glad that the opportunity will be there to see if the Cowboys can score 76 again on the Giants next season.

And I'm even more happy that he didn't go to a division rival. I guess he listended to the Giant fans at the parade who chanted, "Commanders suck".
