Hendershot getting falsely accused of “tripping” is not the first time Dallas has had a problem with officials getting called for this extremely rare penalty.

I take you to 2019. Dallas vs New England

Travis Frederick called for tripping when he fell down. So what? Big deal you say? Well it was a critical 3rd and 1 play late in the 4th qtr in a game that Dallas lost 13-9. Zeke had gotten the 1st down on the play btw.

Also, not the first tripping call of the day that fateful November day. Tyron Smith had also been called for tripping earlier in the game. It turned a 2nd and 13 into a 2nd-and-23, effectively stalling the Dallas drive and leading to a punt that was blocked to give New England a short field (and eventually a touchdown) in the first quarter.

Unsure of the last time you have seen a team called for tripping twice in the same game? Well.. It turns out it has happened twice against the same team in the same game before, and it happened against Dallas, too.

There has been 2 games when one team got called for 2 tripping penalties since 2009.

The last time was Week 9 of 2014, when 2 tripping penalties were called against…
The Dallas Cowboys.

But yea, totally random right?

It's like the refs can inject themselves in the game to assist with an outcome knowing tripping and specific penalties cannot be reviewed and sometimes not even SHOWN/replayed. I LOVE the NFL since a small kid crying when Joe Montana and Dwight Clark sent me to my room crying in early 1981 but this is just WRONG and makes you wonder.

This not getting much attention. Because most of the fans on here posting about how Detroit got screwed over with the reporting issue.
Our own fans are mad, well some of them, because we won a game on the correct call.

If this tripping call was not called, or if they don't try that stupid 2nd down pass. It never would have got to that point.

Nice find. The evidence keeps mounting. Getting more and more difficult to keep claiming coincidences when already there is no other franchise in any professional team sport that can produce what we have all collectively produced the last couple of weeks for the Cowboys.

Just imagine if we had to deal with the tripping phantom call and then we get screwed on the two point conversion. Frankly, I'm shocked that didn't happen. It doesn't excuse that the tripping call nearly handed Detroit the game.

Crazy call - it is actually Hutchinson that tries to trip Pollard. If this isn’t called, the game is probably over. Have to take that back with MM play calling!

We have got to stop passing the ball when we're trying to run out the clock. That is so unbelievably stupid.
I don't mind the passing in this situation. The run game was abysmal outside of a few plays. The penalty put them behind the chains so they knew they had to pass to get a first.

But my problem is throwing a bomb that has no chance. Scoring there does nothing that a first down doesn't do. They both end the game. Why on earth run a play like that?
