How are you still so wrong on this. My goodness. Get a clueAgreed. But that being said. Even if 68 reported or not. He isn't covered up and only 6 on the line. That us illegal formation. End of story
Yes. The wr isn’t supposed to be on the line. That makes the formation league had 68 been ruled eligible like they expected. Get a clueThe reciever wasn't on the line. I think 70 rumbled over there and said he was edible too and that's what they called.
Just making the attempt can "obstruct".I don't think so.
This is from the rule book: "Tripping is the use of the leg or foot to obstruct any opponent (including a runner)"
Seems to me if you don't obstruct, it is not a penalty. But for certain if you don't even try to trip it should not be a penalty!
I see nothing in the rule book about attempted tripping being a penalty. When I watched the play in slow motion it looks like Hendershot is holding. When I watch it full speed, I changed my mind.
They have now“The NFL has not commented on the tripping call mistake as of Sunday morning.”
How does that equate to the officials admitting to anything? And yes, it was a blown call. Don’t hold your breath for a press conference though.
But Hutchinson clearly stuck his foot out to trip Pollard!Hendershot didn’t trip, but he definitely held Hutchinson.
With 2:05 left in the game after Wilson picks off Goff, we run a sweep left. Hutchinson tries to trip Pollard, the ref calls tripping on Hendershot instead, a 15 yard penalty on the wrong guy and the wrong team. They go into the 2 minute warning with NO video replay, they come out of the commercial break and we have it 1st and 25 from the 45 yard line instead of 2nd and 3 from the 22 yard line. We settle for a FG with 1:45 left (thanks MM) and Detroit marches down and scores 6 and covers. We hang on for the win after the crazy 2 point conversion debacle, which should have never happened. Wow!
Just stay out of the thread if it bothers you. Or is it that important for you to try and shut us up for your own ego? You don't have to participate in these discussions.Winners win.
Losers cry about the refs.
Keep crying. Trust me, nobody of importance is listening, so just yell into your little echo chamber and clutch your pearls.Just stay out of the thread if it bothers you. Or is it that important for you to try and shut us up for your own ego? You don't have to participate in these discussions.
Had they called it correctly we get the 8 yard run and 15 extra gets tacked on. We then run out the clock unless McCarthy sabotages that like he did later in the game.Without the bogus tripping penalty, I believe we would have had a second and three or four. Could be wrong, though.
You sure are expending a lot of energy to insult me for someone who "isn't listening".Keep crying. Trust me, nobody of importance is listening, so just yell into your little echo chamber and clutch your pearls.
Also, you are trolling and derailing the thread. We were discussing the refs, and then you came in and derailed it to make the subject about us, coming in right off the bat with the "loser" insult.Keep crying. Trust me, nobody of importance is listening, so just yell into your little echo chamber and clutch your pearls.

This makes the 2 point conversion debacle irrelevant. The game was over.... until they called a tripping penalty on the wrong team.Aidan Hutchinson instead of hendershot......but the whole NFL world is concentrated on the 'Eligible-Ineligible' play because it was the cowboys involved:
Why are you so afraid of the mere possibility that individual referees may have a bias against certain teams. Why are you SO FREAKING AGAINST IT? Is someone you know a referee ? An NFL official? Are you Roger Goodell ?Stop.
