Specter again calls for Spygate probe (AP)

Is there some unwritten rule where if you are a politician you have to focus and work on one issue at a time and not multiple issues at once?

I'd like to take the Honorable Arlen Specter out behind the woodshed and just kick the living crap out of him.

Let this damn thing die already.

Dont you mean Bill Belichick?

I'm sick of all this. It's bad enough that the media came out with the walkthrough bull**** on superbowl sunday. Specter is just upset that his surprise witness turned out to be a joke and now he wants to dig and dig and hope that he finds some more dirt.

This has more to do with Adelphia Cable and the NFLN as it does anything else.

I never really understood that theory. Comcast is paying Specter to pressure Goodell? Why?

I understand where he is coming from, I'd be pissed if my team had lost the way his did and everything that has happened since, but let it go. It's been long enough and nothing has came of it, he's probably thinking that if he keeps digging he will find something, I doubt it though.

$$$$$$$. Why else?

It's the oldest form of political blackmail in the book to put some political heat or pressure on someone using their dirty laundry to get them to play nicely in an unrelated area.

The NFL has already turned down a $400 million dollar offer from Comcast for rights to the NFL Network. They believe the Network is worth at least $500 million and probably much more. You don't think hundreds of millions of dollars is enough to get some mega-corporations to play hardball, especially after it's already turned cantankerous?

Yeah, but if Comcast succeeded in tarnishing the NFL they might lose viewers. What is so great about NFL Network? I've seen it and next to ESPN is looks pretty amateur.
