Is there some unwritten rule where if you are a politician you have to focus and work on one issue at a time and not multiple issues at once?

Let this damn thing die already.

I never really understood that theory. Comcast is paying Specter to pressure Goodell? Why?Cajuncowboy;2110929 said:This has more to do with Adelphia Cable and the NFLN as it does anything else.

Yeah, but if Comcast succeeded in tarnishing the NFL they might lose viewers. What is so great about NFL Network? I've seen it and next to ESPN is looks pretty amateur.InmanRoshi;2111458 said:$$$$$$$. Why else?
It's the oldest form of political blackmail in the book to put some political heat or pressure on someone using their dirty laundry to get them to play nicely in an unrelated area.
The NFL has already turned down a $400 million dollar offer from Comcast for rights to the NFL Network. They believe the Network is worth at least $500 million and probably much more. You don't think hundreds of millions of dollars is enough to get some mega-corporations to play hardball, especially after it's already turned cantankerous?
