Speculation: Per Adam Schein of Sirius radio, Colombo could sign w/Jets

we gave this cat a shot when he was on the streets.

The only loyalty shown is this game, is loyalty to the almighty dollar. He dosen't owe us anything.

Jordan Black gave up 13 sacks last year in 15 GS and the year before he gave up 8 sacks in 10 GS..

WE will need 3 backup QBs if we bring this guy in

I hear ya but if mcquistan has a good camp and fabini stays here, he would just be insurance, and honestly probably not active on gameday.

who replaces him?

Jordan Black?
Mike Gandy?
McQuistan?
Davis?
draft pick?

I say we give Black a look and seriously consider a guy like Levi Brown in the first.

I think you see Leonard Davis at RT and Cory Proctor at RG if Columbo is gone.

Has anyone been able to confirm this yet?? Sirus is not normally too quick at picking up news before other sites do. I listen to and from work, and they are normally alittle behind. Also, the host don't normally break the news, it's always the two minute drill that has the latest.

Shien was maybe saying that is who he thinks he will sign with?!?

IF he is gone, then I wouldn't be surprised if Leonard Davis gets the nod at RT. Corey Procter might be ready. Pat McQuistan might be ready. Heck, even Joe Berger may jump out at someone. As unlikely as it is, it's even somewhat possible that Rivera can come back.

Regardless, this is where the Davis signing is huge. His versatility allows this team a lot of options they might not have otherwise had.

hopefully it's McQ
That's another option as well. We probably sign or draft a backup tackle imo as well.

I am up for that...let him and proctor battle it out..unless blaylock would then stay at tackle.

somewhere Rob Petitti is smiling.

Why? Is it humerous to him that he sucks so bad?

Signing Davis is not only NOT an addition, but it's actually a DOWNGRADE.

makes sense, they have the background on him, they have the need for him and they have the money to give him.

I hope we bring in jordan black and give him a look. He is decent and wont get much, plus he is 6"5 315 and 26 years old.

I will miss columbo, always one of the first players out of the tunnel every game, always helping his teammates up, always there to protect his teammates and a hard worker.

What a bummer.

Maaaan, to make this statement, you couldn't have seen him play.. He's absolutely horrible.. He's worst them Petitti was... No thanks!!! I'd rather go with McQ...

PFW has Aaron Sears, Ben Grubbs and Justin Blalock as the top 3 Guards and states that any one of them could start right away. That's the bad part about losing Colombo, is I was hoping to use the 22nd pick on one of the Stud receivers.

seems like its true. on a jets board somebody just posted per nfl radio, that the jets have agreed with colombo. that sux. hopefully dallas has a backup plan. and no not blalok. if dallas picks him up in the first round thats a damn shame

Yeah, I refuse to panic. I wouldn't panic anyway, but esepcially since I haven't seen this verified yet.

For all of the venom directed towards the leaders of the Cowboys, I have always found Stephen Jones, espeically, to be right on the money. If Stephen thought a deal was going to get done, I think one will too.

i just posted the link a page before.

it's speculation. no one else heard it. i have been listening to nfl radio for a while now and didn't hear anything.

whelp our line is about the same as it was last year only its about 40 million dollars more expensive now. We better pull oline in the first two round of the draft or romo beter be working on his foot work.

I saw him play sparingly. The one thing I always felt was that protecting a quarterback like trent green is as tough as protecting bledsoe. guys are in full all out attack.

I am not saying I want him to come in and play, but he is good insurance.

Personally I am pulling for and have been pulling for mcquistan and procter to find there way on the field this year.
