I think the 49ers have seen enough film. They will put a spy on Luepke and just hope to contain him.

It’s a no brainer. If Rico is out, this dude should get some real carries. You will not beat the 9rs with finesse. Smash mouth football from the get go. Let’s goooooo!
I agree we need to work hunter anymore and do spawn we need to use deuce Vaughn like kevonte Turpin we're using him the wrong way and I think they're doing it on purpose I think they're setting up teams for later when they really break out the gadget plays.. But Malik Davis needs to get his shot as well I mean just put Rico out for a week I mean what's his loss really mean seriously let him heal up bring up Malik Davis and then like you said we'll figure it out from there giving guys more touches but let's not overreact to the little that hunter did but I would like to see hunter in a lot more

Right they had the film that Mike McCarthy's been purposely putting deuce Vaughn in weird spots because I don't think that's where he's gonna use them I think the same thing with hunter very seldom used he's playing around in these blowouts with things he wants people to see and he's gonna break out some wrinkles against the next three or four teams.. I feel like Mike McCarthy is doing that, he's been using these end of game blowouts for scrimmages and I mean he's been calling plays from different parts of his playbook he's probably not going to even call the rest of the year they're set up please they're gonna see this and then boom slight of hand..

If Dowdle is out he will get more carries but when Dowdle is back he will be the main guy to spell pollard

Malik Davis will be brought up from the practice squad to replace Rico. Luepke won't be the guy that spells Pollard.

 Luepke runs 2 times for 4 yards and a TD and CZ yahoos want him to split time with Pollard. You just can’t make this **** up.

I think it’s amusing that the free agent pet cat of the board, who just happens to be a small school “lunch pail” type of guy is now being promoted as our backup tailback.

I root for him just like I root for all of our guys but the way we go crazy over some guys without good cause is kinda silly. But I can’t be mad. We’re fans!

It’s like the posts we saw in pre season comparing Deuce to Sproles even a time or two to Barry Sanders.

Work him in when it makes sense but suddenly putting him in a position to get 12+ carries a game seems unrealistic.

Yeah, YPC may not be much better. But he can be a punishing wear down the defense type RB.
Not saying take carries away from Tony, but for sure get him some more plays. Especially inside the 10 and 5.

Need that running end zone threat (no matter who it is), even if it comes from Dak. Then the defenses will need to respect that, and loosen up coverage in the passing game. Therefore Dak can have that option to run or pass and create better opportunities to get TD's.

I am sure they are working on it.
Cowboys have been trying to run it down there and the Oline has been getting handled. A big back is great if you need one yard and the push is even. But you need to get first downs and move the chains. Vision, speed, elusiveness our your best friends in that regard. Im all for a big back, unless he has those other things its not going to do much good. Now you get a nice push from the Oline and open some holes and Leupke could really punish them.

Yep and he goes in untouched from the 1 and they think he is the redzone anser. LOL

After watching Deuce get tossed around like a little rag doll against NE, I too agree that size is the only way to play against the 9ers.

I don't think we are physical enough up front to play smash mouth football this weekend. The reason we had the game slip away last year in the playoffs was due to losing pollard - the game completely changed after he was injured. we need to spread them out and get our athletes in space. Pollard can take it to the house on any play and we need that.

Luepke could be a nice change of pace and I agree he deserves some touches.
Same,,, they should take advantage of their team speed, and Luepke has shown some open field ability so dumping off passes to him in the flat or screen ain't a bad idea either.

...when Dak needs that Extra man against blitz. . Luepke all day.

Vaughn is scary out there, behind Dak.

He went in untouched because of his read and cut

Watch vid, play designed to go over LG Tyler S, Luepke read it wasn’t there as he received handoff. Pressed the left hole anyway, but then cut right side to day light...

Better yet, size and agility to plant a foot and be a 1cut RB ...big enough to run thru arm tackles, then make a dB make a business decision.

CZ yahoos? Who has a better skill set? Davis or Luepke? We’ve seen the Davis show.

:lmao2:Did you JUST start watching football this year?
No, but watching this year and not having expired biases from decades ago is a better option than caring about how the game was played in 1994.

Spread teams out, throw the football. You should never, ever, be running to negative numbers. It's a massively stupid way to play, and every team that does that is bad.

Who is talking about running to negative numbers? Commit to the run and play action. We’re not trotting out Brady behind center. You can bet your arse SF will be committed to getting Mcaffry his touches.
