It's one thing to be intoxicated in public; it's another to get arrested as a result of it.

You are right, but it seems that Spence got hit on the disorderly conduct and the PI was an add on charge. Probably to milk the most money possible from him with the eventual fine.

It might've been an add-on charge, but one could argue that had he not been intoxicated, he might not've been disorderly.

Some people just tend to act the fool when they get too much sauce in their system. Spencer may be one of those people.

Now that he's about to get the NFL deep all in his business, maybe he'll learn to act a little better in social settings.

cops slap all sorts of crap on you

like when I had my DUI, they HAD to cite me for not wearing a seatbelt too...among other things

Ive had a dewey myself, and the cops put on reckless driving, among other things.

Its like they try to throw as much on as possible so maybe one charge will stick in a court of law.

Public intoxication is garbage, go into any bar on a Friday or Saturday night and start laying down the law, dont wait until a fellow does something stupid.

They just wanted too make sure that when you hit a family and kill them that you would still be alive so they could fine you for more $............

Everyone is victim................

I think wade should make an example out of Spencer ....im not saying they should cut him but .......suspend or fine him harshly

just to show that they are toughening up some.....

Getting arrested doesn't equal guilt. When will you people, and society at large, figure that out? Or do you even care? It's not like the cops don't ever go over the line. Anyone see the videotape of what happened in Oakland? Disorderly conduct is often one of the biggest BS charges they throw at you. Say one word to a cop they don't like and you could be facing a Disorderly charge. A charge that ends up getting dropped later, but not until after you have been booked, had your name dragged through the mud and paid thousands of dollars for a lawyer. That's one of the ways cops "teach people a lesson" even when they know the person isn't really guilty of a crime. That said, if he's guilty: CUT HIM!

McRib = one of the best fast food sandwiches ever.

McRib is disgusting **** and an insult to anyone who's ever eaten good ribs. Seriously, that is about the dumbest sandwich Mcdonald's ever came up with, and that's exactly why no other fast food joints have copied it.

That's an incredibly sad outlook on life. Period.
Yeah it is. I've lived a great life and have never been drunk in my life. Nor do I think I've missed out on anything.

Ok Cupcake, you want to be a tough guy and and a ball-buster, here is your chance.

Hit the kid with a 2-game suspension to start the 09 season, send a message to the rest of the team that chit like this will no longer be tolerated.

i feel almost exactly the opposite ....i kinda figure that innocent people dont get arrested and in trouble with the law at 3 am ,for not leaving a closed bar and taking swings at bouncers............

Clearly he was drunk and causing trouble. Not just police reports say this.
Spencer had a couple of incidents while at Purdue so this is not totally out of the blue.

that is only so when they screw up one charge, they can hopefully get you on another and tell their boss you were convicted

So of us blame this guys for what they do, but sometimes we forget that they are only in their 20s with millions on their hands....

Oh yeah and after all they are human.

You cannot be serious.

This is such a nothing.

Disorderly conduct and throwing punches at bouncers certainly is SOMETHING.

Now, is it going to be blown way out of proportion? Yep. But let's not act like it's "Nothing".

You go ahead and worry about it then, you're in charge of that for us.

Thanks!

Thanks!

I'll help him out, seeing as character issues are kind of a big deal and Spencer is the last person I'd see this coming from.

Does anyone know if we're going to get fined for his arrest?
