Hold him out, lets get him as right as we can before he starts playing. I think we can still get some decent pressure on that NYG line.

lol right. Might get ran on. Better hope our offense solved there first quarter not scoring problem.

Can't keep waiting til the 2nd half to wake up.

sounds like spencer will be having trouble with his knee for the whole season. we probably will not be able to see his true potential in this defense.

Then we should use him like a rented mule...lol. Then let him go elsewhere next year.

Spencer is quickly becoming an after thought. Let some other team over pay him next season.

Thank you. Anyone who thinks he is playing in week 1 has no clue. Honestly, he will probably be out a few games.

Per the DMN, the swelling occurred over the weekend, and was gone in a day (at least, I think that's what he's quoted as saying; it's a little garbled).

Yeah, the whole situation is garbled... always is. Like Murray's foot last year.

You can get a lot of synovial reaction and get swelling despite all going well otherwise. If the swelling is significant then it will create dysfunction. Then you have to drain it. The problem with this is you either have to go in and clean it out or the player has to rest for a feet or two. Or you have to keep draining it. This all assumes the worse and that there is a lot of swelling. Perhaps there is not a great deal. At times it will resolve quickly altho more often not.

You posted this as I was posting mine. So maybe it is or will resolve quickly.

What goes on in that training room?

Seriously. You go in, you don't come back.

And that's why you don't pay an old man a big contract. :D

Well, I think this is a blanket statement, however, it's true that the older a player gets the more susceptible they get to nagging injuries.

Spencer hasn't practiced since when, July 21? The Cowboys are prepared to play without him What worries me is Ben Bass getting an MRI on his shoulder today. Might have just 3 DT's for Sunday night.

Really sucks! Hes a huge part of this team. He is always disruptive. You always see 93 doing something when he plays. Im a huge spencer fan so this is no good for me. He wont be here next year most likely.

People really don't understand Spencer's role.

I hope we're able to get some of the intangible aspects he brought to us without him, like stops, etc.
